If you know for sure you have eternal life, you are doing no more then what Paul did. He stated that for him to be absent from the body was to be present with the LORD and anyone that knows and loves the LORD would want to be with HIM...BUT we also know we need to be here to do HIS work and to share the Gospel too. Paul said it best when he said in 2 Corinthians 5
6 Therefore we are always confident, knowing that, whilst we are at home in the body, we are absent from the Lord:
7 (For we walk by faith, not by sight:)
8 We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord.
Philippians 1:
21 For to me to live is Christ, and to die is gain.
22 But if I live in the flesh, this is the fruit of my labour: yet what I shall choose I wot not.
23 For I am in a strait betwixt two, having a desire to depart, and to be with Christ; which is far better:
24 Nevertheless to abide in the flesh is more needful for you.

Yes, because that is not the purpose of living. For living is the reason you are here to experience this life not dying and as a believer, as I think you must be, you then should enbrace all the qualities and attributes of the Almighty and live your God given life in accordance to all belief and ability to glorify your Father.
Becarefu; of what you wish, for it can certainly come true. Was in a group once, where a young guy just in his early 20's said that he would be happy when he died and wish he could, guess what, two weeks later he died. Be very careful, that is NOT expressing Gods divine plan for his beloved child.

Why do you want to die? Is it so you can be with Christ sooner?
Is it cause you life is too awful? It maybe a selfish reason if you want to hurry and die so you can enjoy heaven today. But see you can still enjoy Jesus and walking with God- TODAY. But you must believe that He is there for you and hears your prayers every time you pray. Jesus promised the believer the abundant life. It's just to bad that many believers never get to experience it on earth because of different reasons. One being that they are trying to live the double life. They are Christians living a worldly life style and no wonder they are miserable. Everything they do for God ends up being a selfish motivated act. Whatever the reason is you must realized that God himself promised the abundant life (happy satisfied fulfilled peaceful) So it is not a fairy tale. If you are still here on earth and you are a believer then that means God has a purpose for you. Remember there are still millions of people who are on their way to hell for eternity. So try sharing Jesus with one of them and then see how you feel. Save a life from hell and you'll find your reason for living.

Why can't you wait to die, you must be a fan of mark twain.
Mr. Clemens was once asked whether he feared death. He said that he did not, in view of the fact that he had been dead for billions and billions of years before he was born, and had not suffered the slightest inconvenience from it.

If you are waiting to die you are not living. You are wasting your one life by wanting it to end. Stop thinking about death and start living!

Me neithr, it's probably the best trip ever, better than sex, better than anything out there. I just hope I am awake, I don't want to die in my sleep and miss out on the whole presumably one-time-only experience.

The question here is not whether it is wrong, but whether you may be depressed or suicidal. I have concern for someone who asks such a question.
If you are feeling depressed or hopeless, please pick up your phone and call a friend, neighbor, family member or suicide hot line.

depends. if youre a brainwashed theist whose been sold on the idea of an eternal heaven then no. from my perspective yes.
if youre a logical thiking person who realises that the consciousness we have in this life is all we get then yes.
its pretty sad if you want to skip this life and get to that empty promise you bought into. do me a favor though. give me your stereo. i doubt youll need it.
