I hate Howard Stern and I wouldnt doubt anything that the maggot does. That so called church should be burned to the ground with all the members inside it.

Yes, it's weird, but you know how Stern is. He knows why people don't like him and being in a picture with him while claiming to be Righteous is... well, weirder than the picture itself.

It's probably part of way that gay groups have been protesting. They charge people to pose w/Fred Phelps and the money goes to gay student groups, charities, etc.

Howard has had the Westboro Baptists on his show several times, and he has had his photo taken with them during other events. He is known for his shock "values", so I don't see how it is out of character for him. I think Shirley has a crush on him!
