Biblical archaeology question. I have a reference to Elath, in the Arabah or Arava Valley. I am just curious since I live near a copper mine in Utah. The reference includes a Dr. Nelson Glueck of the American School of Oriental Research, but I'm having trouble finding anything about him on the Internet, perhaps because it was about 70 years ago.

I could only find these references to the Timna Valley (see first three links below).

Reference material on Nelson Glueck is proving elusive - making research on your behalf difficult. He's not mentioned in the Encyclopedia Britannica, which probably means that his theory that this site was King Solomon's Mine was not taken too seriously. I've provided the two best links on Glueck - (the 4th link is a local newspaper's potted biography with reference to the dig, and the 5th link is a press release on a published biography on him. This book will probably contain the academic research you require).
