1. Lacks the Fundamentals. There is nothing fundamental about fundamentalists. Usually the term, especially when attached to religion, is a misnomer. Fundamentalists don’t get back to the fundamental roots of their faith. They actually just distort their faith to conform to their modern day prejudices.
2. Militancy. Most forms of fundamentalism either actually preach militancy, or act out violently against others. The only thing fundamental to fundamentalists is that they are fundamentally belligerent in either rhetoric or action or both.
3. Anti-Intellectual. They despise new ideas and are the greatest enemies to progress. Suffering is preferable to change, in the minds of these demented people. You would think that the most FUNDAMENTAL thing to being a human is to seek the betterment of mankind, and yet most fundamentalists would rather cling to antiquated worldviews than accept progress.

Sad, huh. The word Fundamentalist was supposed to be someone who follows the Fundamentals of their religion. Now it's just another word for Fanatic.

A cousin of mine is a full-time pioneer for the Jehovah's Witnesses.
Someone who runs around telling other people, "Jesus love you."
On a dumpster behind the store I work at, someone wrote in white spray paint, "God Speed".

I actually become nauseated. Then I think, "Oh no." Then I think, "Run!" And then I imagine myself beating my head against a brick wall. Oh - wait - technically that's four. But the nausea is actually a feeling rather than a thought - so I think it's fair to leave it.

I constantly think of of of somebody taking on a schoolbus with a gadget gun, or of the school shootings in Beslan. To the widespread American, a terrorist is visualized as an Islamic extremist, yet terrorism is as previous as civilization. If the U.S. did no longer meddle in international affairs a lot, and did no longer help Israel as much as we do, we does not even understand what an "Islamic terrorist" grew to alter into into. it extremely is problem-unfastened sufficient. besides the actuality that, i'm for my area lost on the precedence. On one hand, i do no longer sense that we could constantly be assisting countries to the quantity that we help Israel, yet ofcourse, they may be wiped out if we did no longer. even in spite of the shown fact that Israel grew to alter into into ilegally widespread after WW2, does that propose that's cutting-edge voters could be left to die? No. yet we will not, like this administration, pretend like we help peace yet then turn the quite a few cheek and help Israel. quite of exclaiming, "Yeah, Israel shouldn't exist possibly, yet what can their babies do now? you heavily isn't waiting to kill them. Please, enable's seek for for a compromise," we are asserting, "ok, you and your terrorists would be unable to be negotiated with and Israel may be suited here with the aid of way of actuality we reported so. in case you fire any missiles, your human beings will face sanctions. this is all." THAT breeds anger and terrorism. And till now, i grew to alter into into talking approximately "meddling in international affairs." precise, as somebody who helps upholding humanity, I do have confidence in assisting Darfur... yet at the same time as extremists initiate gunning at us, it is going to in all threat be like Iraq, in basic terms on a smaller scale, the situation our honestly reason would have been to launch human beings (a minimum of it extremely is noble). Ah.

Evolutionist./.Darwin./.Creationism..... I can't find a grip on this thing. It is about mandatory to teach a theory as a fact but we have to remove any trace of religion from anything institutionalized. We have to come up with deceptive ways to even mention creationism in a classroom....another theory to counter Darwin....and we get sued. Oh well, it goes with the territory. Don't throw rocks in glass houses
