I personally feel that if the end of the world comes it will of course be a self fullfilling prophcy, the Muslim extremists are on the warpath, they are slowly drawing the entire Muslim world into the fray thanks to our supreme born again psychotic leader Bush, who clearly doesn't care how many die. We have plenty of Christian fanatics ready to go on the warpath, but they want to rally their forces before they really show their true colors, and Iran will soon have nuclear weapons. So how long does everybody think we have before all the religious fanatics and their followers put us in a huge global war with millions dead because they can't just accept that others might have beliefs contrary to their own. After all they've done it before, looks like it's about to happen again. And it looks like we soon could be looking back on things as they are now as the good old days.

The only thing that differentiates the times we live in now and the Inquisition, is the advent of nuclear weapons. The same level of ignorance persists as it pertains to the various religions of the world and people's intolerance of the "other." Yet, it is my hope,

That we, as a species of animal, will eventually wake up and begin viewing each other with some modicum of respect. We must given that our world is getting smaller and smaller due to our technological advances. The mere fact that I'm answering your question via the Internet is a testament to that fact.

All of us need to step back, take a deep breath and stop all the name calling and finger pointing. And if we can't do that, at the very least give a body like the United Nations some teeth so we can deal with all the recalcitrant 2 year olds (read Bush, Kim, Ahmadinejad, Chavez and on and on and on) who are leading us into oblivion.

When did the art of compromise die?

Okay, everyday that passes means we are getting closer to the end. Whether it be getting hit by a 10 ton truck, catching some rare disease, or Armageddon. Relax, kick back, and read a good book...perhaps the bible. Read about Jesus and the difference he made in many lives. Yes, there are fanatics in ALL religions, but that doesn't mean the message of Christ is bad. It just means some of the messengers are a tad bit over zealous. Do yourself a favor, stop focusing on the end times. Your just might have a heart attack. Focus on today and the difference you can make in one persons life.

You should read a little history -- it'll make you less paranoid.
Every single time there has been conflict in the world, lots of people start thinking "this is the end of it all" -- and it never was.
Millions had end-of-the-world fears when World War One broke out, several religions even picked dates from 1914-1918 as the time jesus would come back. He didn't, and things went on much as they always have. Same thing during WWII. Same thing when Napoleon was rolling across Europe. Same thing during the Viet Nam war.
We've always had wars, conflicts, and problems in the world. People always freak out over them, and start to think it's "bible prophecy coming true." And it never does. Relax, and try to find ways to help solve the problems rather than thinking they're the end of the world.

It sounds as if you need some Valium! I've had relatives who sounded much like you. The world has survived thousands of silly predictions. Man is incapable of destroying Earth. The Sun will do that when it expands into a red giant star in 5,000,000,000 years or more. You won't be around then, so calm yourself. Bush is not psychotic, incidentally.

It would be wise for you to quit blaming Bush for something that has been brought about by all of our politicians.

I could easily say that it all started with Jimmy Carter or Clinton but the fact is, we elect these people and we are either too busy to go out and stump for someone who fits the job or to lazy. Since you have blame to spread around I would have to think you must know everything so, why can't you come up with something positive in this extremely negative time. Oh excuse me... You're probably busy looking for someone else to blame!

It's ok to have beliefs contrary to our own. It is not ok to strap a bomb around yourself and walk into a crowed area full of innocent people and blow them up. It is not ok to slam airplanes into buildings. Please do your homework berfore pointing fingers at president Bush. Attacks on the American people by MUSLIM FANATICS happened long before he got into office. The only ones who do not care how many die are the Muslims. At least we try to give them freedom, all they want to do is murder each other.

If people would step back a minute and look at the big picture, they would see this. Maybe they would also see how asinine it is.
