it's true, god wants us to give up anything in this world that is fun and lead a boring, tedious lifestyle. god says that we should love others as we love ourselves..well, i love myself just fine, but i think most other ppl suck! and what about giving up the pootie? get real! and god always wants us to do good deeds and help others..i ain't helping nobody do sh*t! what's up, why do i have to be miserable to gain eternal life?

What would you decide? ....unless he wanted me to do his will a bit longer, earth is not an easy planet to be on, especially knowing what Heaven kinda looks like.

I am a christian. Mainly raised Catholic...but I am open to other's opinions as long as they believe that Jesus is our Savior and God's son. I want to learn and the more I talk to others, it seems we are all bogged down by details when the main message in all our denominations is salvation through believing in Jesus Christ.

I work with a woman who is Jehovah Witness, and she seems to know a LOT about the Bible. She explains that she believes that only 144,000 will actually go to heaven but goes on to explain that the other believers will live an eternal life here on Earth and Earth will be made perfect and harmoneous.

When I asked people why they think Jehovah Witnesses are evil, they always mention the 144,000 thing. To me, that's just a detail. Personally, I don't care whether I'm in heaven or a perfect Earth as long as I'm allowed to live with God for eternity.

So, my question is why are they considered bad? Would really appreciate comments.

The lowerst SAT scores come from the South. The states that rank lowest in Education also rank highest in Believing in the bible. Could it be that people in the south spend too much time reading one book instead of any other book? Or is it that they're not intelligent in general?

In Jesus' time, the sinners liked to hang out with Jesus and the stuffy self-righteous people hated Jesus. Nowdays, churches seem to be filled with the sort of people who used to hate Jesus, and the sinners all find institutional Christianity offensive.

Is my pastor smarter then EVERY major scientiest in America concerning science? He says he is. He says they don't know what they're talking about and that God has tricked them into thinking that.

My mother is somewhat toleant of all religions except satanism and wicca. Unfortunately for her i have adopted the wiccan faith. I am told to the few i share this with that it may be a way to rebel. If that is your answer please no not even respond to this question. So that i could obtain atahmes and altar tools I went public as an ecclectic pagan. I think the next world war will be fought between the godless and the godly.There will be no defined battle field although it may start that way, but in essence it will be fought from within nations.Terrorists wiil join atheist the world over.I am christian but an imam said to me"terrorists have no religion".Atheist are lowest on the hate list of the Islama- fascists(all of them were against the Soviet invasion-but not all of them were against the US invasion).Take note that North Korea is joining hands with Iran.I have no prophetic powers but your crticism or comments are welcome.
