Many people have thought the same things that you are saying before they became a Christian. Then they found out that the things that seemed so fun just were not as much fun anymore. If you want to have sex, get a wife. That's certainly a Christian thing to do. As far as helping other people, once it dawns on you how much God has helped you it becomes fun to help other people. I pray that before it's too late that God will call you to Jesus lest you continue to live your life thinking that it only consists of what you can see in the here and now and when you die find yourself before the Holy God of Heaven about to be cast into the Lake of Fire for all eternity.

You are saying you'd exchange the riches that God has for you, both in this life and the next, in exchange for being surly ("I love myself just fine but I think other people suck"), horny ("what about giving up the pootie? Get real!") as well as selfish and greedy ("I ain't helping nobdy do...")

Okies, if that sort of miserable life appeals to you, then go for it! Me? I'll take a husband (and all the 'pootie' he can handle) and great kids and a happy life, plus the promise of eternal life later!

No, you have the wrong idea - completely. In fact, it is the very opposite. What God asks us to give up, is not good for us anyway. He only wants the best for us, and is nothing compared with what we have in return.

Jesus said, I have come to give you life....in abundance.
I have been a Christian for 37 years now, and I am not miserable by far. I wish you could walk into the church I attend on a Sunday, and see the joyfulness.

Sin separates sinners from God, and makes them miserable.
Sin in itself might be fun, but the fun of it is short lived, and people have to live with the consequences of their sin. Just look around you - you don't have to look far to see it.

actually, being miserable is nothing close to what being a christian is like. God never said to give up things that are fun, but things that are sinful. Most of the time things that are sinful tend to be fun. Maybe u should try doing good deeds, it CAN make you feel good about yourself. I'm sorry that you think being a christian is miserable, but that's absolutely incorrect. I will definitely pray for you.

the feeling a person get from giving to others isn't really understood until they've felt it themselves.
you seem not even willing to try to do anything but pleasure yourself. so what if...God forbid...you got in an accident that prevents you from doing anything yourself. if everyone else had your mentality then they'd have to tell you "hey, we won't help you do sh*t?", what would this world be like for you if sympathy didn't exist?
the life you were given wasn't an "all enclosed vacation on earth...we hope you enjoy your stay!" you have purpose, your given a chance to show what your really made of.

The truth is there isn't anything further from the truth. God loved the world so much that he was willing to give his only Son for lost sinners. Salvations is free. You can't earn your way into heaven no matter how good you are to others.

Yeah, you have to be miserable because you are dirty low down sinners.
Well first you have to be convinced of this by destroying your self esteem, then when you feel guilty enough Jesus can save you.

Why do you think they need Satan? Who'd listen to them if there wasnt a nasty alternative.

You aren't a Christian, so you don't know the joy of the Lord and how fulfilling our lives truly are.
