Have we stopped caring about the aferlife? Also, why don't we build a pyramid for our Presidents so their travel to the sky will be easier?

Aren't we a little arrogant to dismiss these myths and believe our own are correct?

We have our own version. It is called embalming. And we do have our own version of pyramids for important people as well. They are called mausoleums.

We haven't dismissed the myths at all, just changed them to better fit our times and beliefs.

I don't think I'd mind being mummified. If I could get shot into space afterwards. I think this is the modern-day pyramid--and yep, a few people have done it, Timothy Leary and Hunter S. Thompson among them.

We do a modern form of mummification with all the embalming stuff. However, many people have grown out of the old superstitions.

Technically we do still mummify our dead. It's called embalming, you should look into it.
