how did it affect the way of life, did they try to live perfect,did they make a big deal out of it

Massively--they considered it more important than this life. Accounts seem to show, though, that it was not so much about personally living right (although this was indeed a big part of it, for fear of the Devourer after death if their ba-heart-outweighed the feather) so much as it was a preparation for life in the afterlife. Check out the Book of the Dead--it's nothing but spells placed in tombs for the dead to use in the afterlife.

They believed in an after life before there was a bible and look where it got them.

they believed when they died their spirit would go to the spirit world, where it would be lying in state in a coffin, surrounded by their riches.
