I observe the present events and the questians that repeatedly asked over and over again on attacking sampe groups but the response comes from you is really a rediculous because you never say clearly of your Idea and belief but always compare with some other religious group that did a devastating thing to the humanity to justify your act.......but still claim that you follow a peaceful religion in the world,.... and always say nothing to the group that spoils the "peace" of some one but still claim that you love peace and you are a peaceful people. Believe me I am not attacking you and hurting you dont take it bad but just analyse yourselves and express your real self here please... I invite the genuine... well matured.....polite answer... if you are emotionalist please find some other questian to answer. Thank you.

Hey, all you baptist christian folks! I need help. This is my problem:
I have a very scientific mind. I like things with scientific proof, nice and orderly, easily accessible, and neatly filed away. I have my own theories to complement (or compete with) existing theories, and I am a bit of a perfectionist on the side. I like knowing exactly why things do what. I think you get the picture; I am basically a 17 year old scientist.
Anyway, I come from a religious, baptist family. I myself never was very religious, and my parents, who were the only ones in my family who didn't go to church, didn't expose us to religion much. Well, we moved and that changed. The family I have in the area go to church all the time. I went for awhile, and then started working the night shift fridays and saturdays. I am getting nervous about my faith: I don't know what to think. I explained my mind set earlier; I think god MAY be possible. I think scientists may also. what can I do to change?

I bow my head and contemplate
The wonders of this life.
The joy that I've been given,
And also too the strife.
I have loved and laughed so much,
I cannot in conscious complain.
God has sent me such beauty,
Why should I be spared the pain?
I have enjoyed blessed health.
So I now embrace it's loss.

So much controversy over which day is the true Sabbath...
Some believe it's Sunday, but isn't that the 1st day of the week? If God instituted the 7th day as the Sabbath, why do we change it?
Some believe it's Saturday; but times of observing it vary. Some believe it's from sundown on Friday to sundown on Saturday. Some 7th day believers observe the Sabbath from sunset on the 7th day, Saturday to sunset on Sunday.
Which day is the Sabbath to you? And why do you believe it's the Sabbath that God instituted?
Is the proper day of observance, whichever day you believe correct, a sign between God and His people? ( the Jewish people believe it is, but...does it apply to Christians as well?) I think it does..
I find Sabbath beliefs an interesting and controversial topic, which has gone on for many years....I want to know what you think about it...Thanks

This may grate against some egos and trigger some cynical responses. My apologies. I'm a real person. This is a real problem.

Saturday morning I finally learned something new and valuable about Love, and I've been processing it all day.

Bluntly put, here it is:

If I love too completely, too selflessly, with too pure an intention, with too whole a heart...then those who receive it and try to return it end up feeling inadequate because what they give (and why they give) doesn't measure up in their eyes to what they receive. Although they may try to improve what they give, in the end their feelings of inadequacy are too much for their ego and sense of security within the relationship: they end up feeling they need my love more than I need theirs.

Instead of finding a balance between the love given and the love received, they feel they are receiving far more than they are giving or indeed can give. This feeling of hopeless inadequacy leads them to walk/run away.
