This very topic is what raised my eyes to the possibility that maybe religions are designed by the people that inhabit that planet. Look at the Greeks, there was a timewhen they believed in the Gods of Mt. Olympus. As time passed and science/technology made advances there came to be real, accurate explanations for the phenomena that they credited their Gods with. I truly think that the Gods of today are a necessity for some people for all the same reasons.

Too many people refuse to believe that this life is it. We don't come back in another life, there isn't a magical paradise waiting for you, this is it. When you die, you cease to exist. For people that have not done anything to make their name carry-on (In other words, something for the betterment of humanity) when they die, that is it, their existence stops.

So, when it comes to aliens on other planets, the Bible doesn't really address the issue. It does describe a few out of this world, supposedly spiritual or demonic beings that could well sound like a Scifi description of an alien.

Since we have yet to find true life on another planet it is still a moot point (meaning it doesn't really matter yet), but for the generation of earth bound humans that does find solid life on another planet, I think that will truly show that there is no magical god that created the earth. I can't believe he would only want us to focus here on earth, and not spread his word through out the galaxy.

And, because I know some religious people are going to say that he didn't tell us because people at the time had no idea of such technology or possibilities, then WHY, would a god that is powerful enough to forsee that problem, not be able to clearly dictate his book (the bible) so that people a mere few thousand years later would not have trouble understanding. Even his own followers can't agree what each passage means.

Just about every religious group out there picks and chooses what to use. Even non-denominational christians, we follow this, that part is too old so it doesn't apply. That part is before his death it doesn't apply, but once in a while we refer back to that old part over there. Here it says clearly not to eat shellfish, but that was actually only for a small group of people at the time.
See what I mean? Too many self created loop holes.

Just because you tell me God created the world and God wrote the bible doesn't mean it is true. How do you know God created the world? Because he says so.

Sorry, not a strong answer....

Certainly a God who is powerful enough to create the earth and the surrounding universe is also capable of creating intelligent life on other planets. It seems a bit egotistical and self-centered to think that ours is the only planet in the whole universe that supports life. No doubt, God, who is infinte did not just come up with the idea for creation when it was time to create the earth. He has created before and the Bible seems to bear this out in a number of places.

In the book of Job we see the following:
Now there was a day when the sons of God came to present themselves before the LORD, and Satan came also among them. Job 1:6

This appears to be a meeting of the heads of other planets who came to present themselves before God. Adam would have represented earth but he lost his ambassadorship after he sinned. Therefore, Satan came to represent the earth.

Ephesians 3:10 states:
To the intent that now unto the principalities and powers in heavenly places might be known by the church the manifold wisdom of God.

Clearly, this verse is talking about other worlds because it states the principalities are in heavenly places. It would seem that there are other worlds who apparently have not sinned and therefore do not know what sin is or the terrible consequences of disobedience to the laws of God. Because of this, and because God will not allow sin to rise up a second time,

What do ye imagine against the LORD? he will make an utter end: affliction shall not rise up the second time. Nahum 1:9

God has made our planet a lessonbook for the entire sinless universe so that they may learn the malignacy of sin without having to go through the process like those of us living on earth.

Therefore, no Jesus does not have to go die for those sinless worlds, only for us.

Bible, the only book given to man by the God does not teach about aliens. Bible teaches whatsoever given to man in the Bible belong to manand Whatsoever not given to man belong to God. I personally think that all these alien things may be demons' doing to deceive man. Demons are real and were the men who lived on earth with the devil, Lucifer who was the first angel created by Jesus.Demons imitate dead men, deceive people, can do miracles. Read the Book of John. For God so loved the world that He gave His only son Jesus, Jesus Loves you first and foremost it has nothing to do with what you believe or have or have not done. Jesus Loves You...

we believe in ONE God, if their are aliens, then he made them and they would be his children also.Whether these lifeforms had similar or different histories would have been decided by God, debating whether it is or is not possible is a total waste of energy. Devote some more time to good deeds.

Smart Christians only concern themselves with their relationship with God. It's usually the Atheist that concern themselves with that kinda drivel. Am I right? Go ahead and give me a thumbs down but admit it: I'm right, right?
