I have always assumed that 'God' was a creation of man - that is to say, 'He' exists only in our minds; hence you are right .... Man made God!

Yes, you are right. There is no god actually. Human beings created the idea of god to explain the unknown and anything which was beyond any explanation. But as the age of science came by, nearly all countries have become enlightened, except Islamic countries.
When humans developed socially, they had new challenges before them, to know why and how of everything which happens before their eyes. Thus, they thought of an unknown and supernatural being called god.
The Communist are right, there is no god. Humans created god just to pass their time and business-persons earn profit from them.

Man is disposing of the false belief that there is really a god. The more educated the more you realize you where misled. Look at the caveman in the middle east.

GOD wasn't created by man. all I have to do is look at the glories in the sky and the earth which are visible to know there is GOD. no mortal has ever seen the wind, yet each mortal has seen the effects of the wind and no one doubts the wind exists. so it is with GOD as I do not have to see GOD to know HE exists.

God exists, get over it.
Your belief that God does not exist is based on faith, thus your belief is, by definitin, a religion.
And yet, you can't prove your religious belief is correct, so that makes you a hypocrite.

you can't be serious but, I will answer your question, NO or else He wouldn't be God since we are in the flesh, we can be tempted but God is not in the flesh therefore He cannot be tempted.
