According to some Muslim scholars, peace is the absence of war. It is not tolerance of different religions or cultures. Peace can only be obtained when everyone is under Islam.

You are right, the same question does get asked over and over. I think some of us are tired of answering them because it's the same thing all over again. Please check some of the questions I have answered regarding Muslims and violence/war.
First of all, the work of "Muslim" terrorists are not OUR acts. Therefore please don't try and get an apology or justification from us. When we do give examples of violence done by people of other faith it is not to make an excuse or justify the acts of "Muslim" terrorists but rather to remind you that HUMANS of all races, religions have terrorised others too (terrorism means a lot of things to me, it includes to kill millions of innocent civilians, to kill a 16 y/o schoolgirl after holding her hostage).
The Qur'an says:
Surah Al Maida 5.32: If anyone killed a person - Unless it be for murder or for spreading mischief in a land - it would be as if he killed all Mankind. And if anyone saved a life, it would be as if he saved all Mankind.
Surah Al-Isra 17.33: And do not take life - Which Allah has made holy - except for just (and true) cause. And if anyone is killed wrongfully We have given his heir the right (to demand justice within due limits or to forgive).
The Qur'an only allows fighting or war when OPPRESSION or INJUSTICE has been done to Muslims. Therefore it is self-defence!
"Muslim" terrorists who kill innocent people are not supported by Islam or Muslims. And I say "Muslims" because I don't even consider them to be true, practicing Muslims.
Islam encourages all of us to respect others, no matter what faith they belong to.
Surah Al-Kafirun: Say "O you people who reject Faith! I do not worship what you worship nor will you worship what I worship. I will not worship what you have been used to worship, nor will you worship what I worship. To you be your religion and to me be my religion."
"Muslim" terrorists are the rotten apples of the barrel of the Muslim community, just as the rapists, murderers and George Bushes are the rotten apples of any society.

I agree with beef's comment. These people know nothing about peace. They use violence to achieve their goal of global conversion but they are the first to complain when anything is done to them.

muslims can never be your brother or sister unless you are converted either by force or willingly. You are an infidel and must be converted, enslaved or murdered. Make no mistake, that is orthodox islamic law.
