No doubt in the billions. A good estimate would require the exact world population and a full understanding of the delusions reported here.
Basically people who worship in their own way are involved in self worship. So just count one god per person which will cover both the good and evil sides. Then add ten per cent for people who worship gods with split personalities.
The interesting result: More gods than people with zillions of
teachers and warm fuzzy demons to go with them.
The only possible answer: Countless.

Only One God is worshipped world wide but in different forms.
All Gods are one they assume different forms to teach different people at different times

only one but in numberless different ways. those who say there are many gods and goddesses are correct in the fact that there are a number of lesser gods and goddesses in various religious belief systems but even these have one main god above all the others.

There's only me, but I have many different names. There are the older God's but not so many people pray to them these days so they have kind of diminished, after all faith lends substance. Still, you can't kill a God so they are still around, just not as powerful as they once where.
