Why hasn't Yahoo Answers added an Atheist section? What can we do to get our own section?
It's hard trying to communicate with other atheists on Y Answers. :-( WE NEED OUR OWN SECTION! Dammit, if the religious can have one, then we should be entitled to our own section too!
Oh, if you're religious, please skip this question and go on to next one please. ;-)

I know that nature and creation is cursed since Eve at the apple and brought sin & death into the perfect world God created for us, and now in order to get to heaven we have to accept Jesus as our Lord & Savior and believe he died on the cross for our sins. I've heard that God will restore the Earth once again to it's original purpose and structure. But what if I'm in heaven? Do I come back down to live on Earth? I don't get it? I thought we stay and live forever in Heaven? What would be the point to restore Earth if those who are saved are in heaven? Who is the Earth for? I've read in the bible that "the meek shall inherit the Earth" So.... the meek get it, even after they lived in Heaven? :/ I don't understand.

We the undersigned, Christian clergy from many different traditions, believe that the timeless truths of the Bible and the discoveries of modern science may comfortably coexist. We believe that the theory of evolution is a foundational scientific truth, one that has stood up to rigorous scrutiny and upon which much of human knowledge and achievement rests. To reject this truth or to treat it as “one theory among others” is to deliberately embrace scientific ignorance and transmit such ignorance to our children. We believe that among God’s good gifts are human minds capable of critical thought and that the failure to fully employ this gift is a rejection of the will of our Creator. To argue that God’s loving plan of salvation for humanity precludes the full employment of the God-given faculty of reason is to attempt to limit God, an act of hubris. We urge school board members to preserve the integrity of the science curriculum by affirming the teaching of the theory of evolution as a core component of human knowledge. We ask that science remain science and that religion remain religion, two very different, but complementary, forms of truth

How did you discover Paganism? It's not a widely popular religion, even though Christianity stole many icons from it. How did you come about it and decided to practice it? Are there any whole families that are strictly Pagan?

Pakistan was formed as a muslim state.Today their are hardly any hindus in pakistan although India holds the worlds second largest muslim population. Muslims whereever they are will allways demand a muslim state. Today the political parties in India appease muslims to the point that it does not make sense anymore. How is the Majority Hindu population to live as second grade citizens in their own country?

My Mom passed away after slowly deteriorating for a few years but she fought hard for the last year not to die. She had her mind to the end but the body was worn out. Many times her Doc said call the family but she always shocked everyone and came back this time it was not to be. she was 88. She is Jewish and I was told that her dying during the holy days (Yom Kippur monday and today is Shabbos) that she is blessed because of it. Is this right? Why? My brother said my aunt (whos Jewish too) said it has to do with Yom Kippur being a day of atonement? He thought she was afraid to die because she was not forgiven.. to me she was a saint, worked all her life for her children, gave up everything. She had a very good/bad relationship with me. Now I feel like I am left the bad guy. But all I want to know is about her dying during the Holy Days is my aunt and right was she is she blessed? Thank you.

I became a Christian in my late teens about 35 years ago. My early years were steeped in Bible study and I got, what I think, is a very good foundation. Being promised in John 10:10 a more than abundant life, I believed that and just let God hold the reins.

Since then, I've never had to apply for a job, they've been offered to me. When I went to get my master's degree - I got a full scholarship. With little or no ambition per se, nor an interest in job politics I've always been promoted and my job has taken me to interesting places like Hong Kong, NYC, Boston, Las Vegas and Los Angeles.

I've submitted three articles to magazines and all three have been published.

Even the most cynical atheist would have to agree that my life has been blessed or I am just insanely lucky.

I just got a new boss. Not knowing if we'll get along, I just asked God to take care of me. Either by giving me a good boss or winning the lottery, lol.

It struck me as an incredibly passive act

Thoughts?

The Oahspe.says
Many will come to know
The golden rule...service to others first
No saviours.. We are.masters of our own spirits growth & destiny
No wealth goods, just giving

Liberty, first of all, unto all people; then discipline and harmony, and then the improvement of all the talents I created with all. Next to this, to have no leader, nor any one to think for another; nor to abandon one's own judgment contrary to wisdom and truth. But to contend not, nor to be stubborn and positive as to the righteousness of one's own opinion. For I created no two men to see alike the same thing on earth or in heaven. As to which matters, the highest wisdom is to suffer all men to have full liberty to think on all subjects in their own way. (Es 2:11-14)

The 6th Seal Apocalypse is now very near as earth is soon to be renewed by the planet of the passing (last here at the time of Moses and Joshua) this discription in revelations could not be more near the truth as what will be so soon

I think it's funny when atheists post answers to religious questions. Or when atheists post religious questions on this forum. Are they trying to preach atheism? Or are they actually agnostic? Why would atheists do this? It should be that they really don't care. So, why answer? But, yet they do answer, proving that they are really not 100 percent certain that there is NO God. So, think about it atheists...are you atheists or are you agnostic? Pick one, make up your mind!

Choices always were a problem for you.
What you need is someone strong to guide you.
Deaf and blind and dumb and born to follow,
what you need is someone strong to use you...
like me,
like me.

If you want to get your soul to heaven,
trust in me.
Don't judge or question.
You are broken now,
but faith can heal you.
Just do everything I tell you to do.
Deaf and blind and dumb and born to follow.
Let me lay my holy hand upon you.

My God's will
becomes me.
When he speaks out,
he speaks through me.
He has needs
like I do.
We both want
to rape you.

Jesus Christ, why don't you come save my life.
Open my eyes and blind me with your light
and your lies.

For those who don't know, born again christians argue you have faith that when you sit down on a chair it will be there to keep you up.

But is it faith or is it knowledge of how the natural universe works. If I sit on a chair it seats me. I can repeat this expiriment and as long as the chair is in good working condition I will be seated.

If the chair fails its because of the laws of nature, that it wasn't able to handle my wieght and it broke.

Is there any repeatable verifiable expiriment we can run to find out if God is a real entity?

Summary of the story of Job:

God told Satan he could kill everything Job loved, destroy everything he owned and torture Job however he wanted so long as he did not kill Job. Which Satan did.

Now, what makes you think God would not allow Satan to inspire the Bible, have his little helpers appear as prophets and Jesus; and, perform all kinds of miracles to convince you to give him your soul and follow him?

Having faith in Satan would have the same effect as having faith in the real God.

By what process have you conclusively proven that the God you are following is not Satan?

This is a variation of the Pascal's Wager of which so many of you are fond.
