Hello!! :o) I honestly believe that as the older generation dies off - not only will churches become a much 'colder' place - but so will the rest of the world. I live in an apartment building that has many 80 and 90 year old residents. The difference between how most of them communicate with others and how those much younger then them communicate - is quite amazing. The 80 and 90 year old are polite and have manners. They are [as you say] 'friendlier'. This isn't always the case - but overall - the 'very old' are a much nicer group of people than the not-so-old. When you consider how self-centered and self-serving most 20, 30, 40, and 50 year olds are - the future doesn't look very bright. And that's sad. Have a great day!! Craig!! :o)

I do all the time, there have been several older people who have died at my church. They were a real influence on me. One was a minister, another was my friend's mother, but luckily there are older people alive who influence me.

Of course they're missed. They were always such an encouragement weren't they? I guess it'd be selfish to with them back but...well I think many of us wish they hadn't gone.
