For instance The Crowning with Thorns--when Abraham was about to sacrifice Isaac God stopped him and told him to look over in the bramble bushes and there was a ram trapped up with the sticker bramble bushes around his head caught by his horns. I had never thought of this before but, it is the same as the crown of thorns Jesus wore as the sacrificial lamb.

that you don't need religion in order to be a good person and lead an honest life? I'm an atheist and I live a very fulfilling life. I'm a good, caring person and I strive to do positive things with my life. I want to do good and help better this place we live in just because I can and I'm able to, not because it is required by some religion. Yet I have this friend who is honestly baffled by this. I try to explain it to the poor guy, but he just doesn't get it. He sure is cute though. Lol.

The Bible never once mentions pedophilia to be wrong. It calls however menstruation to be morally unclean.

Christians tell me that all morals come from God. "God gave us morals". Yeah riiiiight!

See what you people fail to understand or "realise" in this simple world is that there is no "God" there is only evidence and proof. In an imperfect world the result to success or failure still remains the same "YOU DIE!" Any disagreements plz let me know. Nationwide debate is at hand.

TRUE religion is meant to govern one's self and not others. The only time it should govern another is if that person chooses to follow the same path. And not all faiths are the same, even if it is in the same religion?

Please elaborate of why you chose true or false

In the Magnificat (The prayer she says when she greets Elizabeth and Elizabeth says "Who am I that the Mother of my Lord should come to me?") She says "My soul doth magnify the Lord, my spirit rejoices in God my Savior, for he has looked upon the lowliness of his handmaid--hence forth ALL NATIONS WILL CALL ME BLESSED"

Does it seem like Muslims (some, not all) are caught up in the same type of Crusades that the Christians were in hundreds of years ago. And if so, how long do you think it would be before they decide that it is a never ending battle that will ultimately dissipate to a chapter in the history books like the Crusades? Anybody who knows history knows that it repeats itself.

Let's see how many people go off course with this question and start pointing fingers at Isreal, Bush, America and the Western Infidels. Also, lets see who gets offended over the word “ignorance” in the title question.

Seems rather unnecessarily cruel, doesn't it? You'd think an intelligent designer could have made things slightly less brutal...

They get blasted with Bible or Quaran quotes???? If I was of that faith I wouldn't have asked that question. Just a thought guys, some of us don't believe that we need to have our souls saved.

The theory of evolution is more than logical and believable, we see the evidence all around us every day. Is it that creationists either don't try to understand the world around them, is it that they refuse to take on new iformation because that would confirm that what they believed previously was wrong and therefore other things they believe could be wrong(intelligent force guiding the universe e.t.c.), or is it that they are simply too dim to understand what is essentially a very simple process? I admit that the view of evolution put forward in the media is mostly over simplified and in many cases actually misleading, but in the west we have universities or at least public libraries. is self education and self improvement too high a cost in the quest for the truth and meaning (if any) of life?
