Jesus never changed any deal, He is God. Which goes to show how much you understand. As far as turning the other cheek, this is a reference to Christians not getting upset when God haters like you attack us for our belief in Christ. Turn the other cheek, i.e., say what you want to, you cannot take anything from me that God won't take back from you.

Ya know, one needs to read Exodus and Chronicals to understand that God The Father came personally to the Mountain for a reason ... to read the First of The 10 Commandments which is written in stone, says it all. There is no New Covenant. The Serpent offered Eve the temptation to become godlike, then Jesus came to offer an easy way into heaven. - Personally, I'll stick with the 10 Commandments until The Father says different.

Turning the other cheek is a commonly misunderstood parable.
It mentions if someone hits you on the *right* cheek, turn to him the other also.
To hit you on the right cheek they must ave either backhanded you or hit you with their left hand.
Both of these are incredibly disrespectful things to do, because it was common cultural practise to never touch another person with your left hand because you were supposed to use it to wipe you bum, as well back handing something is what you do to an inanimate object that is in your way.
Turning the other cheek when someone disrespects you like that is a way of shameing them into realising what they have done.

Because we pick and choose what we want to follow from the bible. What is this about the 10 commandments being the basis of our legal system and the foundation of our country. Lets just throw out that one about remembering the Sabbath day to keep it holy - That may have been what god said, but we have decided he really didn't mean it. The bible says we can have slaves as long as they come from a neighboring country and not our own. I want one from Canada - love those french accents and they seem to be taller then the ones from Mexico. So feel free to pick what suits you.

We have free will & probably should turn the other cheek but I do not know anyone who does. After all, if we did, we might be forced at gunpoint (or swordpoint) to become muslim. Americans do not want to lose their free will. Most others don't either so our free will stops us from doing that. So does our fear of being over-run.

Well you're asking good questions and I encourage you to continue. So, why don't we turn the other cheek? It's FREE WILL my friend. Jesus didn't say all would comply. He said whatHE expects of us. Sooo it's your choice now? Whaddya gonna do about it? God Bless you on your search for the truth.

Jesus didn't come to change the law, He came to fulfill it. Fulfilling it had to do with redemption and forgiveness, which is what the crucifiction was for, to gain forgiveness for us. Turning the other cheek is hard, much harder than fighting back, and we're not very good at it.

We are to be STILL turning the other cheek. If someone isn't then they need to start..
Turning the other cheek means not taking vengeance on others and forgiving them

Revelations is in the New testament. If you have read it you will see that indeed even Jesus knows when it is time to say enough is enough and come out with both hands swinging.
