OK, all these questions on demon possession made me think of something. This is my logical thought progression here...

I'm not a Christian; in fact, I practice magic. So I should be possessed by demons, yes? Yet I've never experienced the foaming at the mouth, speaking in other languages, superhuman strength, or any such thing--not even when I'm in a church, around Christians, around people praying, etc. My family is Christian, many of my friends are Christian, I read the Bible, I listen to a pretty good deal of Christian music (even praise & worship stuff--I must admit I love Rich Mullins).

So is it just certain demons that cause it? The presence of things that would bother a demon don't seem to set it off with me.

Just looking to make sense of a belief I'm unfamiliar with, because it doesn't seem to make sense to me...

(those who are bombed into the stone-age) "Men , women and children whose cry is: "Our Lord, save us from these people who are oppressors and raise for us from You one who will protect; and raise for us from You one who will help."

Those who believe fight in the Cause of Allah and those who reject faith fight in the cause of Evil.

So, fight against the friends of Satan: feeble is the cunning of Satan." Quran, Sura Nisaaa: 75-76

I suspect not many. This is one of the few Y!Answers forums that require absolutely no facts or knowledge!

Faith, belief, and "feelings" are good enough here.

I am neither muslim nor christian & I dont live in the middle east or america or UK but i see questions in her from christians who claim that muslims are criminal people in general.

My question is.. have you met a muslim? Did that particular muslim commit a crime which you were witness to?

Im only asking because I have met muslims but never did I see a criminal one. In fact, all the criminals I have come across are actually christians.

I dont mean offence to anybody. Its just a simple question

I've always been a pretty tolerant live and let live sort of guy. The only Muslims I've ever had much contact with were some Iranians I once worked with. They kept to themselves, and with one exception, seemed hostile to westerners, and their eyes seemed filled with hatred. I dismissed this as just an overactive imagination, but since interacting with them on YA I've become very apprehensive about Islam. There don't appear to be any Muslims that support the principle of the separation of church and state, a fundamental premise of democracy. There don't seem to be any that have any objection to the Iranians killing people for so-called crimes against morality, and one even expressed the belief that Jews and Christians do it also. None of them responded to the issue in my question of whether the doctrine of abrogation supports the violent interpretation of the Quran. I'm afraid the more I learn about Islam the less I like it.

I see a lot of people on here every day, no matter what time of day I log on they are here. They rarely ask questions, and never give advice, all they do is bash other people for their beliefs.
I would hate to have such a sad pathetic life, please people get a hobby, a job, freinds, something.

Imagine a universe in which there is an all-powerful demon. This demon, one day, decides to play a practical joke. He creates a spirit, calls it God, and makes God believe itself to be all-knowing, all-loving, and all-powerful. But because the demon is actually all-powerful, it hides from God the truth -- that God is not all-powerful, he just thinks he is.

Therefore, can even God be certain of his knowledge?

If so, then why? (where does the thought experiment break down)

If not, is certainty ever attainable?

Let's see how many people even read this far...

The story goes "If I have a servent. And He turns out to be a bad servent. Evil and sin is in his nature. And he does bad things in my house. Like steal stuff ect. But after a time I tell him, that hey, "all that you have done upto this day will be forgiven since i will offer my own son in sacrifice to rid you off all your sins. The sacrifice of my son will pay for your misdeeds." so be happy."

Does this story sound logical. If not, why God in your religon is attributed with such an act. Why does God need to give anything in sacrifice for that matter. He is God right??? the most Powerfull

Dint want to hurt feeling, but only have an open debate. GOD bless

I saw a special about muslim women having a problem with this tradition and they said because the men are lusting after the women during prayer time.
If this is the case the men should be put behind the barrier.
