Love selflessly, and make constant, patient, continuous efforts to call other people to do the same thing for the sake of God.

DOES GOD EXIST ?

A man went to a barbershop to have his hair cut and his beard trimmed. As the barber began to work, they began to have a good conversation. They talked about so many things and various subjects.

When they eventually touched on the subject of God, the barber said: "I don't believe that God exists."

"Why do you say that?" asked the customer.

"Well, you just have to go out in the street to realize that God doesn't exist. Tell me, if God exists, would there be so many sick people? Would there be abandoned children? If God existed, there would be neither suffering nor pain. I can't imagine a loving a God who would allow all of these things."

The customer thought for a moment, but didn't respond because he didn't want to start an argument. The barber finished his job and the customer left the shop. Just after he left the barbershop, he saw a man in the street with long, stringy, dirty hair and an untrimmed beard. He looked dirty and un-kept.

The customer turned back and entered the barber shop again and he said to the barber: "You know what? Barbers do not exist."

"How can you say that?" asked the surprised barber. "I am here, and I am a barber. And I just worked on you!"

"No!" the customer exclaimed. "Barbers don't exist because if they did, there would be no people with dirty long hair and untrimmed beards, like that man outside."

"Ah, but barbers DO exist! What happens is, people do not come to me."

"Exactly!"- affirmed the customer. "That's the point! God, too, DOES exist!
What happens, is, people don't go to Him and do not look for Him.
That's why there's so much pain and suffering in the world." .

Why do you need to? God seeks those seeking him. Christ didn't debate people, he taught those to came to him desiring knowledge. If a person is demanding proof that there is a God, than they are not there to learn, just to debate. Move on to the ones seeking God with an open heart and open mind. All the rest can wait until they are either ready, or Armageddon makes their choice for them.

Dear, you can't prove that God is real..... You can show kindness and compassion all you want, but you can't prove his existence. God himself refuses to prove his existence, how on earth could you prove it?

Statements like these are just more ammunition for atheists. When you can't produce the proof, they just laugh and feel validated. Be careful what you offer....

I am one of those that believe you cannot prove to me that God is real. If you believe you can, then e-mail me. My address is athedge@yahoo.com.

If you are asking this question, doesn't that mean that you are hoping that other people can give you sound arguments? Are you simply trying to prove the existence of God to yourself?

You can live your life according to God's will and be an example for others. You can study theology and history of religions. You can fight for Truth in your everyday life. You can love people and respect their free will. But don't try to make proselytes because faith is a gift of God. Only He can make a man believe.

Sort of messing up the faith thing.

If someone is colourblind then you can describe the colours all you like, but they won't deeply believe you.

I like to think of it like everyone has a different timer and when they are ready, they will see what they could not before. For some sooner than others, but it can not be forced.

You could say where God lives. That would do it. We've explored space a whole lot without seeing anything that looks like pearly gates and angel choirs, so if you can say a place where God lives that isn't in space, then I think I would be suitably impressed.

Sweetie, there is nothing that you can personally do to prove God is real. Only God can do that. People have to see for themselves. You are right though, he loves you.

I don't think anyone can prove or disprove the existence of any god. People will believe and accept what they will, and your personal logic on the existence of a god or gods depends on your own influences, ideas, and reasoning.
