Spend time in Yahoo Answers asking questions about a God that they claim doesn't exist????

Seems a little foolish to me to attempt to debunk something that you say doesn't exist.

Is it not true that there is a difference between believing in God and knowing that God exists. I had always thought that the point at which one goes from belief the "knowing" is the point at which religion (any religion) becomes dangerous. God only asked us to believe in His son. Not to know anything.

type in Leviticus 25:45

It specifies in the King James Version I am permitted slaves.

Its my God given right. Why do you substitute your own morality over Gods?

Why - are you thinking for yourselves? Is this permitted in Christianity?

... Christians? Bwahahaa. Oops, I debunked our theory. Just wanted to make my fellow Atheists get a laugh this afternoon. If you're a Christian and offended by this, you're not even supposed to be in this question.

The story they are putting out is that Abraham didn't bless Issac but blessed Ishmael instead and that the Books of the Jews and Christians are lies that Mohammed got straightened out.

They add that Adam built the Kaaba in Mecca which was damaged by the Great Flood and Abraham and Ishmael came down to repair after the Flood receeded.

Well, that's the scoop from Mecca these days.

What do you think about this, huh?

If you are an Atheist, do you love your neighbor as yourself? Why do you do this?
Is it possible that this ideology is not at all a "theology"?

Is this another point for us?

Are there any Christians today who will make one logical point for their side?

I know you read the Bible, but what I’m talking about is all these statements about evolution that I constantly read that are completely incorrect.
Just to set the record straight on a few things.
A scientific theory is no a “guess”
Evolutionary theory does not predict that we evolved from Apes, but that we have a common ancestor who lived about 5 million years ago.
Carbon 14 dating is accurate, but is not used on anything older than 50,000 years.
There is no scientific evidence to support creationism.
Science does not attempt to predict the supernatural, because there is nothing to measure, observe or in any other way experiment with.

I am taking a Psychology course at a SECULAR university. The TEXTBOOK states that studies show the reason for the sharp rise in mental disorders are a combination of the breakdown of the family unit and the decline in society’s religious beliefs. The two groups of disorders most closely associated with this are mood and anxiety disorders.

For example, in my eloquent question some moments ago regarding slavery, we don't see any logical answers regarding the specific question. God authorizes slavery, no where in the Bible is it make illegal or stated to be immorral. Yet Christianity today teaches that slavery is not a moral practice. This obviously does not come from God, at least not the same God that inspired their Bible.

They are forced to admit they think for themselves - or that their Bible is not the inherit word of God.

What else besides slavery is suspect? How God and Christians feel about gay marriage? Abortion?

Are we, as people, to think for ourselves on these issues of morality and social justice.

Why do we as a human race need the Bible, if we will instead replace it with our own better morality, as we have in recent decades and centuries with slavery.

Will there be one single fundamentalist Christian with one single logical response to this question?

Morals have nothing to do with religion. Morals are common sense. It just amazes me how some people think.
Should I ask, if you don't go to church how can you be religious? What does church have to do with religion?

You have no right to treat muslims like this. You will never find a muslim on here talking bad about Jesus. But you so call ed christians and athesists or watever say smart comments. I was a christian once so don't tell me that i am going to hell...i knew and still do the bible like the back of my hand...i was in it all my and i am 15. You all need to wake up...because the things you say really hurt...peoples feelings. Muslim or no muslim christian or no christian it is wrong. You say whatever you want but u will not prosper. You can not do evil and get away with it no matter what religion your in. SO all those who are making comments hiding your coward faces go ahead allah/God knows...it is just a matter of time before it catches up to you. Allah have mercy!!!

Suicide bombers have been manipulated into thinking that they are serving God. They are convinced, they have faith. Now suicide bombers may or may not be serving God, but they are absolutely convinced they are just like you are absolutely convinced that you are serving God (assuming you're religious).

Why else would they commit suicide unless they weren't absolutely convinced?

That being said, how can you tell whether or not you're being manipulated? If you believe someone else's doctrine instead of your own, you won't know. We come into this world with a blank slate, and we don't decide what gets filled, our culture does. Maybe we should study something that's geuninely honest more of the time like art or history or science. We should learn, not serve.
