It's not Christin's or any other religion that wont unite it's the stupidity of human nature. Different religions us the same book the bible. Other religions have teachings of there own. It is a wise person who studies all religions and applies what works. there are beautiful religions out there that most don't even know about. It comes down to no matter what we call God (Osiris, Attis, Odin, Jesus, or Jehovah) Most are just trying to improve their life others just want to hide be hind their Religion.(NOT JUST CHRISTIANS.) I wish life could be so easy to know at all times what god want's us to do. Peace

Well precious, I think that we Christian are united in our beliefs as far as what we "believe". As far as having different practices then we are very much fragmented. Christianity is more of a peaceful and passive religion (though our past would not lead one to believe that) I myself would like to see more militant Christians stand up and fight for what we believe and not be pushed around. I do believe sweetness that if our religion was on the verge of being stamped out or a "forced conversion" if you will, then we would all unite. Those are just my thoughts precious. Hope they help.

hmm pretty cool question.. and too hot to answer..
dear, you could avoid this question right.. ?
I think there shouldnt be any discrimination even with so many religions.. why you just care about your brothers in other christian religion..
I think all of us should think of a religion where evryone is conisidered same and united.
when u call for a small number pf ppl to be united.. a large number of ppl are exculed..
all these religions should start teaching the real value of religion...where all they insist on attaining God....where they are similar.. and all they teach are just the different paths to attain the supreme truth.
Didnt you feel we all are just Humans? not just two christian communiities....

LACK OF LOVE FOR GOD AND ONE ANOTHER. That's why.
Of course God want's us to unite. In fact, His church is united. Jesus prayed for it. John 17. And yes, his prayer was answered!
Paul admonished it of us. I Corinthians 1.
The problem is men not fully submitting to the word of God. Men going about changing Gods word for his own vain desires.
We aught to all be in fellowship one with each other. So that the world can know that we are his. But why aren't we. Is it the fault of God or men.
God did not create conflicting doctrines and methods of worship; MAN DID.
There is a 'narrow way' and a 'broad way' that Jesus spoke of. Most people, professed chistians and non-christians alike, see the 'broad way' as 'The Way'. We see the 'broad way' everywhere we look; on television, in different conflicting churches, etc. The Way that Jesus spoke of is narrow, and 'there are only a few that find it'. Those that do find it ARE NOT AT ODDS WITH EACH OTHER. THEY LOVE EACH OTHER.
Find a faithful group of people in your area discribing themselves as the 'church of Christ'. There you should find help in finding 'THE WAY'.
God bless you.

Oh Puulllleeeeeaaaasssseeee! There is NO way ALL Christians are going to actually unite in all their beliefs. I know good and well other religions are the same way. Not everybody is going to be exactly the same about everything. If God wanted us to be exactly alike He wouldn't have made us so diverse. No....I think He wants us to be able to tolerate each others differences, and love each other in spite of them.

Yes He does. All domination's should let go of their petty domination's.
What does it matter if you believe in immersion for Baptism, yet others believe in sprinkling- it doesn't. At all.
But where are you getting all religions are united? Do you not watch the news- read a newspaper?

Christians do unite in their beliefs
Witness Christmas, Easter, the memorials of 9/11
the differences between us and Muslims is that we dont unite and get all crazy over supposed offenses to our religion.

What makes you think that's what God wants?
I don't think that's on His list of things He wants.
Some Christians believe lies-that's why I personally don't want to unite my beliefs with theirs.
Overall, it seems like a really bad idea.

Why not look at the world in a more objective and universal way instead of being blindly tied up to a doctrine
