... Christians? Bwahahaa. Oops, I debunked our theory. Just wanted to make my fellow Atheists get a laugh this afternoon. If you're a Christian and offended by this, you're not even supposed to be in this question.

In the Beginning there was pure and simple energy -It was omnipotent, omniscient and omnipresent. It was not called God because there was no one to call it anything. It followed its own laws and merged, destroyed itself, became something new, changing, revolving, evolving, becoming energy again until something happened. A creation of another solar system took place. Now after centuries when man evolved to speak he said there is some power greater than me. Let me call it God. Latter men gave it a form as they could not understand or did not understand as to how to focus on a formless god! It was too much for them. So they gave the best form. An old white-bearded man sitting on a throne, judging, jealous, angry, hating etc. like themselves.

Oh what a relief. I wasn't even going to bother clicking on this question except I saw you quoted "theory". But thank you for that laugh.

Funny. I'm sure they will be no more Christians in about 4000 years or so. Too bad we won't be around for that! I would love to see the looks on their faces when their theory is shot to hell.

Whomever created this world wheter God or this little atom of energy knew that he was going to get a kick out of you debating and trying to convince each other regarding how ye'll came about, this is so much fun. As far as evolution is concerned I will believe that we originated from frogs if you like, just give me enough proof and I'll buy it.

Unfortunately, evolution is not exactly discriminatory in its random mutations... for example, there was Cro Magnon and Neanderthal... which coexisted for a time... eventually we got it right and got rid of the hairy one... maybe the same will happen now?

If the first American colonists came from England, then how come there are still Englishmen?
