I'm not Christian. All you have to do is read some of my questions/answers and you'll know that. But my feeling about this Jesus man is that he was alright. From the stories I've heard, at least.

He stood up against the corrupt power of his time, he was a pacifist who preached peace and love, and couldn't stand hypocrites. As far as cult leaders go he sounds alright. I'm sure there's a lot more to his story that we don't know, and that a lot of his story that we do know is made up, but I can't judge him negatively based on what I don't know.

How many of you other non-religious people agree that from what we do know, this Jesus guy wasn't so bad? How many of you don't agree? Why?

Just curious. And no offense, but if you're Christian please don't answer. We already know what you think.

God doesnt want to intervene in the lives of men he wants them to make their own choices right? So what is stopping Lucifer from coming to earth popping up at random or just bringing his demons in full stream and destroying us. Lucifer went to war with God so hes not afraid of the big guy. Why doesnt he just attack us too. If it creates another war in heaven Lucifer should`nt care.

For me, it's a wonderful one. Care to tell me how this old world's treating you?

WHAT A WONDERFUL WORLD

Written by: George Weiss & Bob Thiele
Performed by: Louis "Satchmo" Armstrong

I see trees of green, red roses too
I see them bloom for me and you
And I think to myself, what a wonderful world

I see skies of blue and clouds of white
The bright blessed day, the dark sacred night
And I think to myself, what a wonderful world

The colours of the rainbow, so pretty in the sky
Are also on the faces of people going by
I see friends shakin' hands, sayin', "How do you do?"
They're really saying, "I love you"

I hear babies cryin', I watch them grow
They'll learn much more than I'll ever know
And I think to myself, what a wonderful world
Yes, I think to myself, what a wonderful world

Oh yeah :)

And furthermore...why must we short-change ourselves? If God has infinite wisdom He wouldn't think us foolish since we're still learning. The Bibles gave God a personality that does not exist.

Why are religious Christians so close-minded towards things like the accuracy of the bible, who gets into heaven, homosexuals, other religions, science, and even government? Their religion tells them what to believe. Why don't they question things like these?

That a lot of the modern versions of the Bible have the (what I call power scriptures) removed or distorted in them. Mostly the scriptures about the BLOOD and scriptures about FASTING. Because that is where we defeat the Enemy.

You can check this out in the back of a strongs concordance or on the web im sure.

I prefer the KJV myself how bout you?

I like my life, but was raised by a very religious family. I left the religion as I didn't believe in it. Now that I am not meeting my families expectations... I sometimes wonder if I make bad choices, while I am doing my best in life and being true to myself

Anyone else like this?

In 1209, the Crusade commander Arnold Aimery, the Papal Legate at the siege of Beziers, ordered his men: “Do not show mercy to age or sex. Kill them all, God will know his own!”
“…What do you think about this slogan of war that is occasionally expressed in the military environment--sometimes jokingly, sometimes seriously? Is it humorous or repulsive? Is it biblical or blasphemous? Interestingly, though it is heard today in conversations, read on bumper stickers and worn on T-shirts, it is not a new sentiment. In fact, it expresses the feelings of a churchman nearly a thousand years ago, who, when asked by a military commander on the battlefield for assistance in distinguishing between Christians and non-Christians replied, "Kill them all. God will know which are His." (http://www.leaderu.com/humanities/demy.html)

In 1964, the Muslim population of Liberia was ten percent, and they suffered greatly. Unless you were Christian, the missionaries would not give you medical treatment. Today, the Muslim population of Liberia is twenty percent, but the missionaries are proselytizing them.

I'm looking for a weekly podcast that has the unedited remarks of Pope Benedict XVI's Sunday Angelus and/or Wednesday General Audience. I want to listen to the actual recording of the pope addressing the crowds in Italian. I can't find anything like this on iTunes, and I was wondering if any of you might be familiar with anything.

In the Churches today do you think they teach the Lord's Supper correctly? Do they make it clear that if you partake of this wrongly you are inviting a curse on your self. Do they explain that Jesus him self set this feast up on the First day of passover. Do they show all the symbolism and meanings of what is being done?

Pantheism is the belief that God is in everything.. it involves obvious misunderstanding of Creator and creation. This is very common, apparently.

I have consistently read posts from Christians saying evolution is a fraud. Often they sight “scientific” sounding information that has been debunked years ago such as “Halos” or carbon-14 not being and accurate way to age fossils, or that the fossil record is incomplete. Or they say its just a theory, but clearly don’t really know what a theory is.
The facts are that the fossil record is very complete, in fact amazingly so. The dating methods used for aging fossils is very accurate, and does not rely on c-14 as that radioisotope is only accurate to about 50,000 years. And finally even without a fossil record, DNA analysis from the past decade offers more than enough evidence to fully support evolution.
