A riddle...If truth is truth, and a lie is a lie, when is truth a lie ?

The solution to this riddle may be found in the bible, the story of Genesis, 'the original sin".

The solution lies in truth.

Hey how's it going.....

Tommorow is a new day .....I dont know who I'm talking to but someone out there is feeling like they've reached a point in the road of life where's there's no turning back and nothing to look forward to.

But tomorrow is a new day ...Stay true to yourself ...Press on because just when it seems like all is lost....a Second Chance arrives where and when you Least expect it....

Life was never meant to be a dream come true....or a smoothly paved road without rock or stone....

It is simply an embodiment of time that you face each morning that you find yourself still alive....

So why not LIVE and realize that the Past's failures can have no Real bearing on Tomorrow's successes.

I told her that it would take 30 days of not drinking to have her efforts accepted, what do you think? How long does it take of not drinking before your efforts are noticed by God?

Why not answer a question rather than give some answer about something that totally doesn't relate to the question?

For example if someone asks a question about evolution being taught in public schools, why not give an intelligent response instead of carrying on about how the government should tax religious organizations.?

My only guess is that if people can't think of an intelligent answer for the question and are frustrated by it that they spew out some rhetoric that they have rehearsed over and over again.

My guess is also that those same people would criticize religious people for not thinking on their own, yet perhaps the religious person asked an orginal thought provoking question only to be answered with mindless rhetoric.

I guess the logic behind such responses is if you cannot come up with anything to say attack the person or change the subject, as both seem to happen in these situations.
What do you think?(O & attacking the person asking the ??is not a response)

It seems to me that these Christian Evangelists spend all the money they raise on themselves & on building large fancy churches rather than helping the poor.

Stephen Hawking has proposed a scientific approach to ending the cause question. He envisages a quantum universe where space-time would be curved back on itself like the surface of a sphere, and thus would have no beginning or end.
“I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end, saith the Lord” (Revelation 1:8).
Did God envisage this question being asked by science when it had sufficiently developed in this present age to deduce the above quote by Hawking ?
If time can be envisioned as the surface of a sphere, who built the sphere and who is outside it ? Will we return to the beginning ?

Evolution, to this point cannot be proven. It is the "Theory of Evolution" not the law of evolution. While theories may have some findings that support them the evidence is not conclusive. Therefore, it takes some belief in that theory.

We live in a multi-cultural society. While religion used to be thought of as having to do with a supreme being, such is not the case anymore. In fact atheism is a religion. I submit that by the definitions of the word evolutionism is also a religion.

Webster defines religion as:
1 a : the state of a religious service (1) : the service and worship of God or the supernatural (2) : commitment or devotion to religious faith or observance
2 : a personal set or institutionalized system of religious attitudes, beliefs, and practices
3 archaic : scrupulous conformity : CONSCIENTIOUSNESS
4 : a cause, principle, or system of beliefs held to with ardor and faith

Definitions 2 through 4 would certainly apply to evolutionism.
What do you think?

Some people may believe we are nothing more than this physical or biologocal body.Well I would like to ask them and others to read this completely and share their views. thank you
um..Normal people(wether religious or not, believer in god or not) become happy after they do a good act, even if their action can't be justified by materialistic laws , for example sacrifising one's self for another person, or to give your kidney to someone else for free.
And they will get sad in their hearts when they do something evil , even if they make a good money(that their actions are justifyable by materialistic laws) ofcourse I am talking about 'normal' people whose heart hasn't changed dramatically.
So if we read between the lines it proves there is something more than this physical world it proves reward and consequence for our actions. >>
this is a feeling so deep in our heart(deeper than one can say because they were taught it in the school when they were child), it is deep there.
Just like we love and want the beauty , we love good acts( even if they dont make sense with materialistic laws).
you know, when something is in our heart there is a response outside, if there is the hunger inside ,there is food outside. if there is the need of love inside ,there is marriage and love outside. For every natural need or tendency or feeling that we have inside our hearts ,there is a response a satisfaction outside. the response to this feeling is that there is more than
this world, there is reward and consequenses.
Things make sense.
If we admire sombody when he get killed, trying to rescue somebody else which doesnt make sense by the physical laws,it means our hearts knows that there is more than this physical world.even if some people has become unbelievers and consciously deny it while their hearts unconsciously act in according to spritual laws.
and yes when god created us he put this in our heart.
Note that I dont say non-belivers dont do good acts, some of them do,beacause the truth is in their hearts but they consciously deny it.and sometimes they act in according to spritual laws without paying attention to it.

peace to you all
a muslim friend.

I always have prayed, but not as much as I do now. For the past 3or 4 months, I've been praying extensively. I'm about to start getting back into the church. The question I have is, is there a right/wrong way to pray? I don't ask for things, I mainly just thank the LORD for another beautiful day, my children, family and so on. Please, please let me know or give me some advise.

If you forgive the sins of any, they are forgiven; if you retain the sins of any, they are retained" (John 20:22-23).
Therefore confess your sins to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed" (James 5:16).
"Truly, I say to you, whatever you bind on earth shall be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven." (Matthew 18:18)

She keeps on trying to get me to come to her church. I am a Wiccan so I told her no. She keeps on asking me everyday, and she starts saying things like "But God loves you!" and "You can have two religions!". I try to just ignore her comments. I have tried to stop talking to her, but she keeps on coming up to me. I can't politely tell her to go away because she won't listen (i've already tried that). I don't want to be mean because hurting her feelings , to me, is a breach of the Rede (An it harm none do what ye will). What should I do? Is she trying to convert me?

I'm sure you are familiar with the term "drive-by shooting". There are innocent victims of these shootings all the time.

Think about it....a gang member drives down the street and shoots into a house and a random bullet richochets and changes directions. At that EXACT second, a 4 year old child runs accross the room to get a toy and the bullet strikes and kills him.

Had the child or the shooter started 1 second sooner or later then the results would have been different and the child wouldn't have been shot.

If God knew IN ADVANCE that this child was going to die from a stray bullet, on that day, at that particular second in time......

.....then how could that child or that shooter have made a DIFFERENT choice????

Could they make a different choice than the choice god knew they would make?????

Okay, I've asked a couple questions recently asking Creationists to explain what, exactly, they didn't believe happened that evolutionists believe did. Most were either unable or unwilling to do so, but - in addition to people castigating me for being "superior" and "arrogant" and "condescending" - I did get some cogent answers, some of which really came close and one or two that actually taught me a thing or two. (Contrary to popular belief, I was not trying to be a wiseass, but trying to understand how rational thinking people could dismiss something that makes so much sense to me).

So, in the spirit of furthering my understand, would those of you who understand evolution (meaning that if you wonder why there are still monkeys, you do not qualify) and believe in Creationism, would you please explain to me what made you come to that conclusion?

Thanks!

These primitave people have been living perfectly happy, healthy & moral lives within the context of their society for 1000s of years.
Evangelists arrive & their society degenerates, their morals decline & they all die off within a few years. And of course, the evangelists are left with their lands.

1Timothy 2:11-12

11 Let a woman learn in silence with full submission. 12 I permit no woman to teach or have authority over a man; she is to be kept silent.

Forgive me , I must be slow and the holy spirit must have passed me by. So I'm probably misinterpreting this. I know God would be sexist.
