yes...just like being an adulterer or a fornicator ...lust and acting upon lust is a sin ....sex with one of the same sex is considered a sin in Gods eyes...
I'm sorry but sin is not an outdated concept...the Bible tells us that God is the same yesterday as He is today and that means we may change our thoughts and minds on a subject to suit our needs and desires but God doesn't change His....if he said it is sin then it is sin....please don't let others lie to you and tell you it is OK when it will lead you to judgment with god.....
.just ask God to show you and trust him....Jesus loves you....

The practice of homosexuality is a sin. Being attracted to someone of the same sex can happen to anyone on either a large or small scale as can thoughts of theft or murder or pedifilia or anything else that goes against God. The important thing is to turn away from thoughts that are not in harmony with God's will. It is not always easy but your rewards will be great if you resist temptation.

I believe that the Greeks used the term homosexual as a verb not as a noun, as it is now used. So, it referred to what someone did, not as a label to attach to them. The act is a sexual sin. Being inclined to do such acts is not in-itself a sin. Temptation to do a sin is not itself a sin: we are all tempted to sin. Therefore, being gay in-itself is not a sin. But, like I say, to act on it is.

For starters, Jesus stated that God intended sex (and thus marriage) from the very beginning to be a bond between a single male and a single female for life (Matthew 19:4-6). Jesus said that anyone who could not accept the married heterosexual lifestyle had to remain celibate.

Paul also argued in the first chapter of Romans that it should be self-evident from nature itself that God intended for certain acts to be sinful, since they are unnatural. Paul mentions many things in his list, such as murder, gossip, hostility toward one's parents, men lusting after men, women lusting after women, etc. This could be considered to be an early attempt to argue from biology that same gender sex (among other things) was obviously against God's plan because it serves no biological purpose (I.E.: it is against nature). Paul also seems to state in 1 Cor. 6:9-11 that practicing homosexuals will not enter Heaven.

Peter also makes a passing reference to Sodom & Gomorrah in his second letter (2 Peter 2) in such a way that it implies that he views unnatural sex as a sin. Here, the reference is not as clear as it is in the letters of Paul, but note that Peter goes on the declare that the writings of Paul are "scripture" (the very words of God) at the end of the same letter. So Peter appears to support Pauls position that sex is intended to be between a male & a female who are married.

According to the Bible the behaviors associated with being gay are sin. The feelings of being gay are not. We all have sinful desires that God asks us to resist. We are told, for example, that sex outside of marriage is wrong and that if we do not marry, we should deny the desire we have for sex and remain celibate.

Our culture thinks this is crazy--few are willing to deny themselves anything--yet the results of giving into our desires are clearly not to our benefit in the end.

Any sex outside of marriage is considered a sin. The bible does metion homosexuality specifically and condemns it.

Romans 1:26Because of this, God gave them over to shameful lusts. Even their women exchanged natural relations for unnatural ones. 27In the same way the men also abandoned natural relations with women and were inflamed with lust for one another. Men committed indecent acts with other men, and received in themselves the due penalty for their perversion.

That being said, we are all sinners. God does not view homosexuals as worse sinners than heterosexuals. Unfortunately, some christians have treated homosexuals as though they are worse sinners.

I believe it is possible to condemn the sin, but love the sinner. I'll let God be the judge of people but I can determine what is sin or not sin from the bible.

To be gay is not a sin, to act on the feelings is a sin. Confused? So were those Catholic Priests.

Yes, pepe06. And if you were to have that sin as part of your life, and you stopped it, would you be sinless? I don't think so either.

pepe06, Jesus gave Himself for our sins. That's why he came to Earth, to provide salvation for you, and me, and anyone else. I have been Bi-sexual. That's not the way God made me to be, but not being Bi doesn't save me, it's the trust that I have for the sacrifice of Jesus, and anything else He promised that makes me a Christian.

So Gay is nothing. Trust God and be saved.

That's right, God loves us no matter what. He loves thieves, murderers and rapists. But He doesn't love what they do. Any good parent loves their children no matter what they do. But that doesn't mean they ignore the bad things their children do. That wouldn't be loving at all. And it doesn't mean they tell their kids that the bad things they do are good. That would be a lie. Good parents tell their children "I love you no matter what you do, but what you are doing right now is wrong, and unless you change your ways you will end up suffering the consequences". God is the perfect parent.

yes it is. read about Lot, his wife and sodom and gamora (i think thats how it's spelled) but also know that even if u are gay then God still loves you he just hates that ur sinning; the best way to put it is that God sees all sins the same (exept 1) so being gay is just as bad as lieing, stealing, coviting or murdering
