Seems like we get critized everytime we speak our mind. If people can talk about evolution and their beliefs then why can't Christians talk about theirs without getting critized. Looks like we can pretty much do anything in school except talk about God. What ever happened to freedom of speech or religion. Does this only refer to everyone who is not a Christian.

I mean no offense. I just don't understand why she is so important. Yes she was a virgin when she gave birth to Jesus, and yes being chosen as Jesus' mother was a position of great honor... but Joseph and Mary later had more children, so obviously she didn't stay a virgin. And I've seen nothing in the Bible that says she's more important than any other person.

Given global warming and the earth's rising temperatures, I'm starting to think Hell won't be so "hot" after all. A lot of us are already used to ridiculous/dangerous heat indices. So...why should we fear banishment to hell again?

At Fatima
At Lourdes.
And as her son Jesus has done as well.
Help save the unbelieving souls.
Pray for them, Jesus loves them and you should do to.
It doesn't take much to save them just a few sacrifices.

6: If thy brother, the son of thy mother, or thy son, or thy daughter, or the wife of thy bosom, or thy friend, which is as thine own soul, entice thee secretly, saying, Let us go and serve other gods, which thou hast not known, thou, nor thy fathers;
7: Namely, of the gods of the people which are round about you, nigh unto thee, or far off from thee, from the one end of the earth even unto the other end of the earth;
8: Thou shalt not consent unto him, nor hearken unto him; neither shall thine eye pity him, neither shalt thou spare, neither shalt thou conceal him:
9: But thou shalt surely kill him; thine hand shall be first upon him to put him to death, and afterwards the hand of all the people.
10: And thou shalt stone him with stones, that he die; because he hath sought to thrust thee away from the LORD thy God, which brought thee out of the land of Egypt, from the house of bondage.

What is the view of Christianity on these issues? I ask because, even if it prohibits those things, I've known some Christians who go and get wasted every week, and don't think it's wrong (which is hypocritical), and the same with having sex (premarital), and getting drunk.

This is obviously another new buzzphrase from the religion industry (coined I think because there is a growing stigma to being religious), but what do the people who say it actually mean? Do they really think that Jesus speaks to them? Do they have conversations with him in their minds?

Christians claim to be christ like but i see more christians on here being closed minded, putting down other religions ect. and i see some people on their soap boxes preaching about jesus coming to save us then i see the the same people at parties being absolutly trashed. Just last week i went to church with my mum and listened to multiple people talk spit about the woman they were sitting next to. if you are the representations of christ then i hope i go to hell. I believe in God and Jesus just not the christian religion

I see a lot of religious folks say things like "if there was no god then Hitler would have got away with it" or "if there was no god then how would there be any reward for being a good person?" or "if there was no god then what would be the purpose of life?".

Well, why do you think life owes us justice or rewards or anything else for that matter? To say that life would simply be unfair without these things, and that therefore a god must exist to assuage our indignation at that fact, is one of the worst possible reasons to believe that a god exists. It's the fallacy of Argument from Adverse Consequences.

I say we should just accept reality - that the unthinking universe neither knows nor cares of our existence - and make the best of it.

What do you think?
