Why can't there be others after him?

From the middle ages up until the 1700s people insisted that the Bible taught that the Earth, not the Sun, was the center of the solar system. It wasn't that people just thought it had to be that way; they actually quoted scriptures: "The Earth is firmly fixed; it shall not be moved" (Psalm 104:5), or "the sun stood still" (Joshua 10:13;) among others...

My point is, if the bible can be misinterpreted then, isn't it possible that the young earth theories may be based on passages that are being misinterpreted now?

Possible?

I'm a christian and I find this mockery humorous and something to be humble about. There's value to be found in offenses. People of all descriptions should be humble before God. Because the scriptures say "blessed are the meek". To be meek is not the same as being weak. It simply means that one can suffer offense without taking offence.

Radiometric dating--the process of determining the age of rocks from the decay of their radioactive elements--has been in widespread use for over half a century.

Here is a GREAT article on Radiometric Dating from a CHRISTIAN perspective!

Why would people want to join a religion that was created by a science fiction writer? A group that believes that psychiatry and psychology are evil sciences. A group that believe in extraterrestrial dictators brainwashing mankind, Galactic Confederacies, past lives on other planets and who believe that breasfeeding babies is harmful. Why?

I don't get it. Could someone explain to me what the attraction of Scientology is?

When it comes to the Bible, many parts are open for interpretation (like the Genesis) but as far as it stating what's right or wrong it's usually pretty clear. Violence is wrong. Fornication is wrong. Rape is wrong. Stealing is wrong. Dishonesty and betrayal is wrong.

However...don't you think there are exceptions? If a man steals to feed his family, is that immoral? If a soldier has to defend in war or
a person has to beat or kill someone for self defense, is that immoral?(I think war per se is immoral but that doesn't make the individual soldier immoral)

Only God knows this for sure, but I'm taking a leap of faith and guessing that people born gay are an exception too. How could something be a sin if it's out of their control? I know of many moral gay people with good upbringings who make better Christians than many straight people. I know them too well and highly doubt that they CHOSE to be this way. I find that ridiculous and illogical.

I am befuddled at all the hate on this forum for our President George W. Bush. He is a man of upstanding Christian values and have shone focused leadership in times of hardship.
You people should be ashamed of yourself for letting your prejudice cloud your intelligence.

Only good Christian Republicans know that Mr. Bush is a compassionate human being. Christ die on the cross for our sins. Mr. Bush is being cruxified for bringing Christian values onto the world stage!

It is a sad day when we have to mock a gentle soul who is trying to bring Peace on Earth.

1 John 1:1-10

1 That which was from the beginning, that which we have heard,
that which we have seen with our eyes, that which we saw, and
our hands touched, concerning the Word of life 2 (and the life
was revealed, and we have seen, and testify, and declare to you
the life, the eternal life, which was with the Father, and was
revealed to us); 3 that which we have seen and heard we declare
to you, that you also may have fellowship with us. Yes, and our
fellowship is with the Father, and with his Son, Yeshua the
Messiah. 4 And we write these things to you, that our joy may
be fulfilled.

5 This is the message which we have heard from him and announce
to you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all. 6
If we say that we have fellowship with him and walk in the
darkness, we lie, and don't tell the truth. 7 But if we walk in
the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one
another, and the blood of Yeshua the Messiah, his Son, cleanses
us from all sin.

8 If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the
truth is not in us. 9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful
and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all
unrighteousness. 10 If we say that we haven't sinned, we make
him a liar, and his word is not in us.

I often encounter in my conversion sessions at the church that overweight people tend to get annoy when I tell them that to lead a holy Christian life they must not be tempted by food. The reason why they are the size that they are is because they don't exercise control over their temptation. They are letting the devil control their body and thus their bodies become a grotesque monument to the sin of gluttony.

I reason that Jesus starved to death on the cross so to show that he can avoid all temptations. He died so we could live healthy Christian lives. Jesus would not be please if he saw that his beloved mortals have all turned fat and greedy and frequent MacDonalds like it was a religious sanctuary.

I am sadden that I have lost control of these souls, I now know what Jesus must of went through when he encountered the bloody Romans.

Let us suppose that they were the first people on earth. What was the color of their skin?? If they were white then how come there are people of all colors, black, white, brown?? Or is it that they had children who were black, brown, white?? Or was it that one was brown, white... something like that?? How do you explain it?? If you can then is it that modern science is not correct or if you cant then is it that what is given in the holy scriptures that are word of "God" is false??
