Did you ask the jerk if he wanted the exorcism performed? I mean, come on! It's rude to chant and throw holy water on someone without at least a warning. What if he was saving his demon for something?
Do you do it during the sermon? Most preachers get testy if you interrupt their inspired monotone with miracles and such. I bet that was why they kicked your butt out.

Because you have to first fill out a "RIGHT TO EXORCISE" form in most churches. Some charge a fee - some don't.

Also the use of holy water in such procedures is not allowed in certain states (please check local laws).

And remember, they are not jerks - the are simply "Demonically Impaired"
