Why can't there be others after him?

If the Qu'ran were perfect and pure, Islam would not be divided. There would be no Sunnis and Shiites, and all the other tribal sub-denominations.

The problem is the Qu'ran wasn't even written until after Mohammed died. Though Muslims of the time did their best to preserve everything he said, clearly either they failed or Mohammed failed. Isn't it a foolish thing to have the last prophet be a man who lived in an age before sound recording, satelite communications and the internet? If God wants his message spread to the entire world, without any misunderstanding, wouldn't now be the perfect time to send one final prophet?

Because Christianity and Bible were modified right after Jesus Christ(PBUH) was taken to the heavens. He did not die(as Christians believe) he'll return on earth before the Dooms day. The same Jew who planned to hang and kill Jesus(PBUH) later converted to Christianity was the first modifier of Allah's(GOD) message revealed on Jesus'(PBUH). The Bible of today is not in the exact shape as it was at the time it was revealed on Jesus(PBUH). It was being modified. Today you can see so many versions of the Bible. Qurran is the only Holy book which is in the same form as it was revealed on Prophet Muhammad(PBUH). As it is the last message from Allah He Almaighty Himself took the responsibility of its protection and prevention from modification till dooms day that is why Qurran is in the same form and has only one version not many like Bible. Its no wonder Christianity has so many divisions. Jesus(PBUH) was the Prophet of God not son. Adam is the first Prophet and Muhammad is the last Prophet. Every Prophet God sent before Muhammad(PBUH) informed his followers that there would be another Prophet after him and another message from God but those orders were removed and modified. As Islam is the continuation of Gods messages Allah already informed us in the Holy Qurran that there would be no other Prophet after Muhammad(PBUH). Qurran is the last message form God. It is the complete code of life. Sunnis and shias both believe in the same book .You need to study and learn about Islam before judging it.

It's God's will. Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) is the last of the messengers. Because Islam perfected itself as the best religion. Islam has answers to problems which arise in everyday life.

Why do you think that Muslims are divided? Shiite and Sunni are two groups of "Muslims" they share all basic beliefs quite the same way.

And Qur'an wasn't collected after the prophet died. There were lots of people who memorized Qur'an by heart. After his death, it was just written down so that later people don't confuse. And all written copies were matched with the main copy saved by Ayesha (r), prophet's wife. So there is no chance that Qur'an has been altered or has something other than God's words.

If you expect a new prophet then no, no new prophet will come again. But Jesus (we call Issa (pbuh) will come back to kill the Anti-Christ and set peace in the war-devastated world.

The Quran does not mention anything about Sunnis and Shias. Why? Because God never wanted it to be that way. It's something people have created because of political reasons (who should continue Prophet Muhammad's (pbuh) work after his demise? Ali? Other caliphs? read up on Shia history & beliefs and you'll understand better). And even though there is this division.. we are all allowed to pray in the same mosque (unlike in Christianity where there are different churches for different sects and even races! I couldn't believe it when I heard about a Korean church in my area). In Islam, people of all races and cultures pray together as one.

Why is Muhammad (peace be upon him) the last Messenger? This is what God wanted. And maybe it's a sign that the end of time is near?

I think it's great that people are asking questions. Go to www.harunyahya.com, I think he can answer your questions better than I can :)

Did Mohammed himself say he was the last prophet?

2006-09-23 22:00:08 · answer #6 · answered by Anonymous · 1 1

because god made it that way, it's not our decision to make who the last prophet would be therfore we would not know why he was.

Thats like asking why jesus was the one that sacrificed himself on the cross in christianity and not someone else.

my friend, this is not our wish or any one else wish ,since God (Allah) has created every thing in this life,so he made Mohamed (Peace be upon him)the last one.God has said that so we should believe in that there is no one else will come after him.
