Radiometric dating--the process of determining the age of rocks from the decay of their radioactive elements--has been in widespread use for over half a century.

Here is a GREAT article on Radiometric Dating from a CHRISTIAN perspective!

You are assuming decay has been a constant and that God didnt make the rocks already decayed.

I personally havent investigated this but I believe The Bible so I dont need to.

You know, another possibility is the pre-scientific explanation of concepts to people without the cultural framework to understand them.

I believe in radiometric dating (I am a Veterinarian and a christian, evolution is inseparable from my biological knowledge.).

I think perhaps people are only now catching up to the bible. Think about it...how would you explain a computer to someone in the dark ages if you had the chance? It would be incomprehensible until that person could see it.

The bible is true, but it's metaphor based on limited knowledge. therefore it's best not to overthink it. The simpler truth is enough for me.

I thought radiometric dating was for people who hadn't had a date since the Jurassic period. :-)
