If it is true, what do you do with verses that say "work out your salvation with fear and trembling" I think that just as a person can decide to accept Christ, they can also at any point choose to reject Him. Will He then force Himself on someone? And to say they were never saved to begin with would be judging.

The real question is Have I so given my body, heart, soul and mind to Christ that I would never even want to look back into my old ways? Then it's true. Does that mean you won't still sin - no. But it mean's that the very thought or action of it will drive you immediately to repent and turn from the temptation. Christ says that once we all in the father's hand nothing will snatch us away and as some have mentioned we must work out our salvation, but the working out here is a mental exercise of learning what I have just stated.

Nope. False. You can always turn away from God after being saved. But, as long as you still believe, ask for forgivness, and accept the 'free' gift of being saved, then you are.

Once saved ,never saved is more correct since the whole concept is a huge superstitious belief. Christianity is one of the most successful multi-level marketing scams ever concocted by man.
In my case, I was once a born again "saved" christian, and now I'm an atheist, so I suppose the answer to your question could also be false.
ADDITION:
In answer to JOHN C below, and others who claim that if christians become atheist they were never really saved, or didn't have enough faith...all I can really say is BULLSHITT!!
I was raised in a fundamentalist evangelical christian family church, we had daily devotions and bible readings as a family, went to church 3 times on Sunday (morning meeting, sunday school, then evening meeting). My father was an elder and lay preacher in our church....in short, i was soaked in the "word of god" since before I could speak. I was first saved at around age 8....and then I "rededicated" myself at age 12.
However, I was always one of those kids who asked the hard questions in Sunday School, and was never happy with the weasly answer "god works in mysterious way" I just gradually educated myself, read extensively in mythology, history, science and science fiction and learned that the bible/jesus/god was as phony as Santa Claus and the Tooth Fairy. There wasn't an epiphany when one day I suddenly realized I had been scammed all those years, it was a gradual realization.

only if you are a baptist! Ha! Ha! Seriuosly, is you wear a red shirt today does that mean you wear a red shirt everyday? You could but probably not. Does this mean that you never wore a red shirt? Of course it doesn't. You can be a very devout christian for years and succume to some temptation and get off the christian path for a while. God of course is willing to take you back with open arms and forgives the lapse.

good question. if it helps you strengthening your relationship with Jesus Christ the Lord, then it sure is.
Some people take it as excuse to delibrately do bads things even evil stuffs. well, i think it depends on individuals as apostle paul said "anything that is not from faith is sin". if you believe you're once saved always saved, then it's true for you, and for your own edification.
this statement has some biblical proof, however, there's NO direct statement of this either from Jesus Himself or from any apostles. Meanwhile, there're quite a lot of verses warning us to keep our faith in Christ. Paul even cried once and sadly wrote many who claim to be Christians are not working in accordance with Christ, they will perish. Jesus also said, a tree is known by its fruit, if it yields good fruit then it's a good tree, bad fruit, bad tree. Thus you can discern who's truly a Christ follower (Christian) as being Saved.
I think this verse can be used by satan to mislead people, you see too many gangsters today wearing huge crosses and selling drugs, doing pimps and porns. i wonder, if the spirit of God is in them, otherwise their conscience is dead.
It's complicated yet quite simple. R u sure you're saved? if you're, then you are! :) This is called Fatih :-)
God bless u.
Paul

False. You must follow Gods ways... Being saved has nothing to do with it, if God is not in your heart and mind... as well as in your actions.

False. You can lose your testimony of the truth and backslide, falling into apostasy. Feed your spirit every day. Keep oil in your lamp and endure to the end. It's the only way to life eternal. Check out www.lds.org There you will find the truth and ways to help you in this mortal life.

human beings were predicting Judgment Day for therefore long as heritage remembers. the ingredient that one and all of those "prophets" have had in worry-free change into the means to be incorrect. in worry-free words 2 hundred million will be kept? I challenge them to prepare the biblical references to help that. so a concepts as your baptism is worried, do no longer hardship about it for now. The act of baptism is an emblem used through Christians to point their covenant with our Lord. some denominations baptize little ones as a promise to develop the youngster interior the religion until eventually the youngster is sufficiently previous to verify that promise. different denominations baptize in worry-free words even as the fellow is sufficiently previous to make their personal decision to settle for Christ. You suggested "i love the Lord and his son Jesus", relax guaranteed that he loves you back.
