Keep the 7th day Holy

They changed the day to spite God. The catholic religion is very flawed. I do believe that there are many good catholics going to heaven. But the doctorine is extremely incorrect. Why else is the vatican holding all this priceless knowledge hostage, and unwilling to share it with the world!!!???

Do a search for "Sabbath" in the New Testament and you'll see how many times Jesus criticized the Pharisees for legalistically observing the Sabbath but whose hearts were far from God. The issue isn't that most people worship on Sundays. The real issue is that people aren't seeking God.

Yes, Roman Catholics are one of the farthest people from true Christianity. However, the sabbath hasn't applied since Jesus's day, it doesn't really matter.

Seriously, any religion that, instead of having all members equal as the Bible admonishes, has an old guy in gold running around with rockstar-like status, cannot consider them the closest to a true Christian. They have strayed so far from the word that it's rediculous.

Jesus resurrected on the first day of the week ( Monday )
Pentecost means 50 , 7 Sabbaths plus 1 day ( Monday )
The Holy Ghost was give on the day of Pentecost ( Monday )
His Apostles refer to the " Lords Day " which is the day Jesus reserected (Monday)
The book of Revelations started being wrote on ( Monday ) "I was in the Spirit on the Lords day (Monday),and heard behind me a great voice as a trumpet." Rev.1:10.
Christians had separated them self's from the legalities (for lack of a better word)and now were following Jesus . For them everyday was to be Holy , only now they were free. Not to do away with the law but to for fill it.The 10 commandments were ment to point men to Christ .That's what Jesus was saying when He said come unto me all ye who are heavy laden and I will give you rest for your souls. Not to find rest for the body that turns to dust , but the eternal soul. That is what God was pointing to when He gave this commandment.Seventh day Adventist try to tell people that the Catholic church came up with this and it"s true thy did bless or do something concerning this Monday Sabbath but it was done in practice by the very first Christians. And by the way I'm not Catholic, I am a Christian.

+ The Lord's Day +

Christians believe that Jesus fulfilled the Law of Moses. Therefore Christians are not held to the ceremonial parts of the Mosaic Law concerning of dietary purity and temple worship.

Christians are held to the moral law of God, some of which is expressed in the Ten Commandments.

The first Christians were Jews. They went to temple or synagogue on the Sabbath (Saturday) with fellow Jews.

Then they gathered on the first day of the week, the day on which Jesus rose from the dead (Sunday), with fellow Christians to tell stories of Jesus and share Eucharist.

Later Gentiles joined Christianity. The Apostles, filled with the Holy Spirit, decided that the Gentiles did not have to covert to Judaism. Therefore, they only attended on Sundays and did not have to abide by Jewish dietary laws.

Christians believe that Jesus' Resurrection has changed the Lord's Day to Sunday.

This has been the practice ever since.

+ Saints +

Do you have pictures of your loved ones?

Statues and pictures of people we love are not idols.

Statues and paintings of Jesus and the saints are just like pictures of the people we love and respect.

The King James Version of the Bible states in Exodus 20:4: "Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth"

Why were the Jews commanded not to make graven images? Graven images were the standard method of pagan worship. They were representations of false gods.

This is a very clear command.

However God commanded the Jews in Exodus 25:18 and 1 Chronicles 28:18–19, "And thou shalt make two cherubims of gold, of beaten work shalt thou make them"

And in 1 Kings chapter 7 Solomon made bulls and other images out of precious metals.

It seems obvious that the Jews did not worship the cherubims and Solomon did not worship the bulls he had made. These images did not violate the command of God. Therefore, an image not made for worship is acceptable.

In Numbers 21:8-9, "And the LORD said to Moses, "Make a saraph and mount it on a pole, and if anyone who has been bitten looks at it, he will recover." Moses accordingly made a bronze serpent and mounted it on a pole, and whenever anyone who had been bitten by a serpent looked at the bronze serpent, he recovered."

And in John 3:14-15, Jesus says in correlation, "And just as Moses lifted up the [image of a] serpent in the desert, so must the Son of Man be lifted up, so that everyone who believes in him may have eternal life."

How can a statue of our Lord Jesus Christ dead on the cross be considered an idol to a false god? A crucifix is the message of the Gospel without words held up for all to see, a visual reminder of the sacrifice of Jesus, no different from a painting, a play, or a movie.

Catholics do not worship statues but the almighty God, the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.

+ Forgiveness of Sins +

Therefore, confess your sins to one another and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The fervent prayer of a righteous person is very powerful. (James 5:16)

The Catholic Church believes that "Only God forgives sin."

When a penitent person asks God for forgiveness, his (or her) sins are immediately forgiven.

Catholics also believe that when someone sins they not only hurt their relationship with God, they also injure the entire church, the body of Christ.

The Sacrament of Penance and Reconciliation with a priest ordained in the name Jesus Christ not only reconciles the sinner to God but with the entire church, including you and me.

+ With love in Christ.

The practice of legalism is something Jesus really frowned upon and since it is not in a person's ability to save themselves through "works" [keeping the sabbath being a works], and since salvation is "by grace through faith, lest any man should boast..." I really don't find the "legalities" of which day is considered Holy to be pertinent to the Salvation Doctrine that Jesus Christ taught.

in the event that they have faith that Jesus Christ died for his or her sins, have referred to as upon the call of the Lord Jesus Christ to be saved (Acts 2:21, Romans 10:13) and are being sanctified by ability of the Holy Spirit then "truthfully, particular". Catholicism or Protestantism saves no person.....that is purely by the atoning blood sacrifice of Jesus Christ on the go that we are able to be saved.

You do know that every other Protestant denomination is an off-shoot of Catholicism, right? Martin Luther was unhappy with the Catholic church, so he left and started Lutheranism. A king wanted a divorce and when the Catholic church refused, he started the Anglican church, made himself the head of the church, and gave himself a divorce.

So I'd say they are more Christian, if anyone is.

Do some research... learn the facts.
