I don't know about you, but God reveals himself to me every single day. Believers, continue walking happily by your faith. If their life is so great without God, why do they ask so many questions that revolve around Him? They say God is made up like Santa Claus and the Easter Bunny. If this is so, why aren't they asking questions revolving around Santa Claus or the Easter Bunny? Enquiring minds want to know.

Why is it, as a creationist, people seem to regard me as some sort of loony or idiot? I do understand science, I am perfectly rational and intelligent, so why do many people, including many Christians, not accept me or my view? It's in the Bible!
I ask this because of the nasty answers I recieved with my creationism in schools question.

I find it hard to reconcile the zeal of pro-life Christians with the history of the God that inspires them.

His only Son had to die. Abraham had to prove his faith by preparing his son to die. The world got out of hand and all, but a few, died in a flood. The first born of Israel died so Moses could relocate his people. Ancient believers gave thanks by killing animals. Cities were destroyed and the citizens died because they turned away from God.

It seems like quite a human response from such a supreme and all wise being.

I listen to classic rock (i.e. The Rolling Stones, Led Zeppelin, Warren Zevon, Bob Dylan, The Who.....) and I think that its the best music out there. I love to listen to music and I think that the music that my generation listens to is awful (I'm only 17). Anyway, I was discussing this with my mom. She doesn't like "my" music and I asked her why. She said that if it wasn't talking about God that its no good....I told her that even God would get bored of listening to songs about himself all the time. Then she told me that God is a jealous God and I agreed, but he isn't a vain one. Listening to music isn't keeping me from worshipping God so I don't see the problem with it....its also not making me and my mother argue, we were just discussing it. So, what is your opinions?

This seems like one thing Christianity has to offer that not many other religions do. It might be the deciding factor in which religion I choose.

I'm trying to show that Capitolism is a quick fix solution for Socialism (since in Socialism, people lose motivation to do their work since they're getting paid anyway, so they do a shitty job) and my argument is the problem is our morals rather than our motivation. If we're not doing a good job because theres "nothing in it for us" then those are clearly bad morals and is the bigger problem.

My argument is with a religious man so I figure if I can find some examples of the bible in which Jesus or someone says something about how we shouldn't be in it for ourselves and self gain that will get me major points.

Any tips?

This morning I asked several questions about abortion. In particular, three questions asked how would you force unwillingly pregnant women to carry the baby to term.

No one offered a plan, though many spoke out against abortion.

Two of those questions pointed out that without a plan, these people were, de facto, supporting desperate women committing suicide, throwing themselves down staircase, using coat hangers and other horrific procedures to terminate their pregnancy (links provided below).

Not one person opposing abortion spoke out against these alternatives to a safe, legal, medical abortion.

Now maybe it was the time of day. Maybe it was a particular crowd. And I'm giving those of you who didn't see these earlier questions an opportunity to speak out now.

It is fine to oppose horrific procedures if you support legal abortion. It is fine to oppose legal abortions if you are willing to state how you would detect and -force- unwillingly pregnant women to carry to term

If the christian God loves all then shouldn't he love gay people to? and say that both man and women are created equal?
