The answer is: we just don't know. We do believe he was the boy who followed the Rabbis around, who became a boy "minister/Rabbi" at the outdoor markets, serving as temples, by the time he was 12. Virtually nothing about the boy Jesus was recorded. In fact, so common was the name, the few times he IS
mentioned, or A Jesus is mentioned, we can't be clear if this was THE JESUS, or another...as there seems to have been other kids named Jesus who acted as "lay" Rabbis...in Israel, back then. Obviously, nothing remarkable...or we'd know about it. The question is: when did Jesus, the boy becoming a man, flower into the head of this amazing religion we know today...when did his divine and compassionate nature fully reveal itself? When you find out, tell us all, it would be something to hear.

same stuff every other toddler and teenager does.
complain a lot, have quite a few "hissy fits", smoke some biffta, check out the chicks, shoot some hoops, experiement with the holodecks, explore multidimensional beings in trans-dimensional crafts, loads of stuff that we haven't even invented yet!!!
OK so maybe not every kid gets to do that.

Well I'm not to sure what he did in his toddler years but I know that through a lot of his teen years he spent countless hours at the steps of the church listening to the church council talk about religion.

He probably studied carpentry. Joseph, His Daddy, was a carpenter. But, when He was 12, the family left without Him, not knowing He was in the Temple going about "His Father's business."
He knew then who He was.

He probably worked with Joseph as a carpenter, and he studied scripture. There is little evidence about it, but those seem likely given what we do know.

If we knew the answer to this, it would solve many mysteries of the ancient world and end thousands of arguments religious and nonreligious folk have.

the Bible doesn't say... the only part of his child hood it talks about is when he was 12 and he taught the elders some stuff. (Luke 2:41-52)

He helped his friends (and their dads) out with their fishing boats. He was a skilled woodworker, receiving training from his own (presumed) father Joseph.
