and suppose that's your relief from what you're experiencing in this life

and please don't write how you can change certain things. i'm sorry but you can't. there are things you just can't change no matter how hard you try. you can fool others but not yourself.

thanks

i just happened to look through a couple of questions on the issue of abortion. it seems there are a lot of conservative grownups and children to whom an zygote, embryo, fetus has been sensationalized to the point of being a child. personally, i feel that only very early abortion for elective reasons is ok, and that abortion should not be banned. i'll elaborate on my views later if asked.
what really bugged me about the views expressed on other questions was the lack of personal experience, valuation of z/e/f over a woman even in extreme cases, the use of religion to justify legislation, and the overwhelming majority of prolifers even though the country as a whole is pro choice. any thoughts on this?
btw, i am sexually active and use both condoms and spermicide most of the time, though i have on occassion used only condoms at times i felt i was infertile. i am a "cafeteria catholic" that rejects the teachings of the church on sexual morality, yet havingabortionwuldbothermealot.

I ask this as we are all drawing near to the holiday of Halloween. I'm seeking intelligent answers from Christians. Not the same dull stories fed to you over the years in Church; the ones that have told you over and over again that the origins of Halloween was evil from the start. Coming from one who practiced the Pagan ways who is now following her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, I have to tell you this Christians...the evil stories from the orgins are lies. I am not Pro-Pagan, I am not Pro-Halloween, but I am Pro-Truth!

The origins did not start out evil. However, it has become such over the many years; hence the protection of God we need now. Read the link I provide here, think for yourself, pray on your answer, and then respond.

What do YOU think about it? Do YOU think that a simple night of fun while still spreading the love of Christ can be done on such a night?

I cannot stop emotional responses, but I encourage intelligent ones.

But my question wasn't directed at Christians specifically. I am not Satan as one person said nor do I *want* to believe there is no afterlife. It was for religion in general. Here's a follow up question.
Why does it bother so many people that someone even questions religion?

I am just curious what from a christian stand point would be too far for a 15 year old to go physically with his girlfriend. I am confused as to where a line should be drawn and saved for older ages and marriage.

ok, if god is all good.. pure greatness.. then how come we get threatened to go to eternal hell if we dont beleive in him.. when apparently jesus died to give us the freedom of choice and cleanse us of sin.. if god made us go to hell because we didnt beleive in him or were uncertain of him (or her) then isnt god commiting sin?.. gah! no wonder there are so many wars about religion.. everything contradicts itself!!

I always thought that Jesus said ignore the old laws of the bible, talmud, and other Jewish things and just love Jesus. If so where do Christians derive their laws agansit gay marriage, rape, stealing and murder. (This is not an attack just a question)

Easy question right... of course religion would strenghten a marriage, while godless people would find it harder to stay loyal and true to each other.
What about the murder rate? Would a predominately Christian country have a lower murder rate then a less religious country?

The answer seems obvious again - Christians value life...

Then how can you explain this article???

Genesis says that God created Adam first. Doesn't it make more sense to create the woman first. It is the woman who will grow, carry and deliver the others to populate the earth. In reproduction, who plays the most important role? You cannot plant a seed without a field to plant it in. I have read Genesis, please don't quote me scripture as an answer.

im not to good with religion, i dont study it and not sure on what to beleive in.. I know the stories from the bible, adam and eve, noahs ark etc.. one story that gets me wondering is the story of easter and the cross and resserecrion etc.. so my question is:

If Jesus died on the cross.. then came back to life... what happened then?.. did he die again?, did he go to heaven?.. either way why didnt he just resserect again and try to sort out more sin.. why didnt he walk the earth to this very day as an immortal sorting out everything.. terrorism, crimes, war etc..?, he potentialy has the power to do it.. so why doesnt he?

I am curious about the story of Mithras. When did he live?Is it true that he was born of a virgin, killed and rose from the dead 3 days later? This religion originated in ancient Persia, but spread to the early Roman empire.
