He never understood why people were calling him the Messiah, the son of God, et cetera. He used to say "it is you who say I am".

He just wanted us all to get along....kinda like Rodney King. His only credo: "Love one another."

With his last gasp he was trying to set us all straight. But no... we had to change his last words into "father, why have you forsaken me".... and go and discover evolution only to condemn it again. He knew as humans, we're screwed!

He was just trying to set things straight.

He was mis-informed. Humans and apes evolved from a similar ancestor.

Actually that is not what he said.
What he did say however was this.

1."Father, forgive them for they do not know what they do"
2."Today you will be with Me in Paradise"
3."Woman, behold your son.. behold your mother"
4."My God, My God, why have You forsaken Me?"
5."I thirst."
6."It is finished."
7."Father, into Your hands I commend My spirit"

Many people have deabted and will continue to debate the last words of Christ on the cross.
No two people will agree, and those who do will have variances.
Look it up and study it to find out what you believe or not.

I think Jesus was just referring to you... that YOU evolved from an ape.

Silly child, Jesus did not say that.
In fact, God never hinted one way or the other about the process by which He created man, other than to say that man was created from the dust of the ground...
Come to think about it, don't evolutionists believe that, as well??

Deuteronomy 11:16
(16) Take heed to yourselves, that your heart be not deceived, and ye turn aside, and serve other gods, and worship them;

Verse 16 gives us a clue in preventing deception. God says, "Take heed to yourselves." What does this tell us? This means pay attention! Take care. Guard yourself. Watch out. We cannot just skip our way into the Kingdom of God. It will take a great deal of effort.

Does not Christ tell us to "watch and pray always" (Luke 21:36)? But He does not say to watch just world events. One of the things that we have to watch most closely is ourselves.
