Yes and our eternal, immortal soul is the one that maps it out.
It is called our Chart and it is stored in the Hall of Records on the other side.

This is a Christian belief called predestination. I believe, however, (because humanity is evil) that a lot of Christians believe it solely so they can do what they want and say "I cannot help it, it was mapped out before I was born!" So, being a cynic, I do not believe it. But it is possible, just don't let people know, or they will take advantage of it.
Abigail Adams once said "Remember, all men would be tyrants if they could."

I believe we have purpose, but we also have free will. We're here for a reason, and for a purpose that needs to be fullfilled, but that doesnt mean that people occomplish what theyre intended for. Most people live to make themselves happy, and give little thought to those around them in the long run.
Let everything that has breath praise the Lord. Go out unto all the nations. be fruitful and multiply, replenish the earth. That pretty much sums up the vast majority of our cause on earth.
That creed's been replaced with, do everything you can in your short years before its all over. If you're happy thats all that matters. Dont worry about others, just worry about yourself.

IN NO WAY.
Free will. You can go where you want at any time. Just walk out to the highway and hitch a ride. No ones stopping you but YOU. SO WHERE'S THE MAP NOW?
Believing your predestined is a crutch for the small minded to make them believe theres a "reason" for all this and there is, but its not predestination. Its choices. What I mean is, if you hang around drug addicts and law breakers don't be surprised when you end up robbed, beaten or in trouble. If you decide to live a clean life, your actions will dictate the result. BUT ITS ALL UP TO YOU.
You can stop life at any time and no one can stop you if you choose to do it. So there goes destiny again (again!)

Not at all. If this were the case, how would we each know what our particular blueprint is???? I sure wasn't handed one by my parents, were you? God gave us free will. Each of us chooses his/her own path and his/her own destiny. There IS no preordained map, script or blueprint, thank God! This sounds like someone's lame excuse to place blame on another or avoid responsibility for changing what you don't like about your life.

So far as the hard wiring of our brains are concerned. Our gender, sexual orientation, our intelligence quotion, birth defects, any genetic diseases are there at birth. I'm sure you can come up with more. The families we are born into rich, poor, loving, cruel, hateful, etc. I figure over fifty percent of our lives are controlled by these factors. The rest is up to us.

i feel our lives are mapped out to an extent
we know that we will be born into a certain family
we may see some lessons that we are to experience on the way
we may know how we will die
i think of it like this
we are told we will be going from A - B .... but how we get to our destination may be as hard or as easy as we make it
should we take the easy road with no lessons learned on our way
or go up and over the hill , which will take longer and be strenuous ... but with breathtaking views once we get there

What would be the purpose of giving us brains if such were true? Do you imagine that there are beings able to eat our souls and they have found that different experiences create different tastes? Giving that ranchers have select foods and routines to produce different kinds of beef flavors suggesrs that you need to distance your soul from people who would even suggest such a thing because your existence to them then only lies in how long you can serve their needs. None of yours.

Yes they are definately mapped out before we are born.
God says he knows us while we are still in the womb.
In all depends which track we go down by the free will we are given and the choices we make.

Absolutely not, nothing is preordained. Everyday depends for a large part on the decisions you make or have made. There is no roadmap for your life made by some diety. You are master of your own fate, live a good life.
