Leme,
i don't know! He just disappears from the scene. I think that his last appearance is when they had to return to Jerusalem to get Jesus who was confounding the priests in the synogogue when Jesus was 12. Where did he go? What happened to him? I do not know.

The Bible does not say whatever became of Joseph after Jesus was 12! My guess would be that he probably had died before the Crucifixion even took place!
I am sure that there must be some history of Joseph after Jesus was 12! Anybody out there who knows this information should inform us!

The scriptures are silent about Joseph from the time Jesus was 12 years old, and afterwards.
Joseph was apparently out of the picture at the time of the crucifixion.

According to the writings of the early church fathers, he had died. He was a bit older than Mary. He died before Jesus began his ministry. Also according to some sources, Mary and Jo had more kids after Jesus was born. So, Mary was a virgin until Jo and her consummated the marriage later after Christ was born. Jude 19 mentions the brother of our Lord. Though, it could have been a child born to Jo before he married Mary. Jo could have been widowed.

Dead. At this time Christ was the Legal head of household, that's why he instructed his brother to care for his mother.
