I don't want to say I'm an Atheist, but when people talk about heaven I can't help but roll my eyes. What are your views on God, does he really exist, and why do you believe so?

According to the gospel author, Matthew, chp 2:23, at least two prophets of the OT are referred to as having made a prophecy that Jesus would be called a Nazarene. WHERE are these prophecies in the OT.... ? IF you cant find it,,,would you consider that the so called prophecies were part of the fiction which was imagined by the author unknown to try to substantiate the establishment of Jesus as the new CHristian religion leader?

It's right in PSALM 60 people, I read many books on end times, and I was studying this psalm and according to my calculations Jesus should be here for his 2nd Coming in the next 4 years, in 2010 exactly people. Well 2006 almost gone so 2007 that will be 3 more years left.

I just Repented with all my heart from watching tv/television and going to movies. But now what can i or what should i do on Friday and Saturday nights now that I dont watch tv or movies????? I feel boered and a litle uncomfortable/depreseed for not watching tv/mvovies as I usual did before. Thanks!!!!!!!!!!!

With all of the christians that i've spoken with about why they believe in god to any great depth i am always told that i do not see god because i am not open to him.

Hypnotism works in a similar manner... you must be open to hypnotism in order for it to have any effect on you. Voodoo curses work the same way. You have to really believe that the curse is real before it will effect you.

Doesn't it seem that if you are open to any brand of B.S. you can believe it to be true?

I'm in high school and there is this girl that I like. I think she likes me too cos she is always trying to be around me and she is always smiling at me. She is shy and I am shy too.

When you question someone about their religion(any religion)they show you through their actions and attitudes just why you SHOULDN'T become like them? I'm not generalizing, but I've met a lot of people like that.

That's what the Bible says...If you have already decided to choose a LIE rather than the truth of God, THEN GOD WILL HELP YOU DO IT!
Here's the Scripture:
"...because they receved not the love of the truth, that they might be saved. And FOR THIS CAUSE God shall send them strong delusion in order that they might believe a lie...so that all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness...." (2Thess. 2:11)

So go right ahead you folks who are here on this forum so proud to let everyone know how you hate God and His truth..... You are not hurting anyone but yourself... Now that you know the consequences have at it! Ha, Ha lol...

Do you think it matters what religion, faith, or lack thereof, the next UN Secretary General professes. There is a lot of support to have a Muslim SG. There is also said to be an unwritten agreement that the next SG will be from Asia. The guy (I can't remember his name) from Jordan (which is considered Asian by UN standards, from what I understand) is said to be a strong candidate.
What are your thoughts on this topic, and in general on who should be the next UN SG and how will that affect the world, with any specific thoughts pertaining to religion that you may have

Could you please give me an example out of scripture where this was ever done. Scripture teaches by precept and example, and I cannot find an example of this. Apparently the apostles did not believe this, because you cannot find anyplace where they said 'repeat this prayer and you will be saved". i am just wondering if we are now more enlightened that Peter, Paul, and John. They taught the repentance, baptism in Jesus' Name and the infilling of the Holy Ghost were essential to salvation. And about this business of He that endure to the end, the same shall be saved. Red letters, but I suppose we are also more enlightened than Jesus Christ Himself.just praying a prayer, and then you can do whatever youwant, and the grace of God covers it all, well, I can't find it. Someone please help me to understand. All I want is to know the plain, unadulterated Word of God, not watered down by man's opinion of it.
