I don't want to say I'm an Atheist, but when people talk about heaven I can't help but roll my eyes. What are your views on God, does he really exist, and why do you believe so?

Yes. Have you ever see a new born baby? Have you ever seen a sunset that was so beautiful you could not describe it? Have you ever felt a love so deep you could cry? Every day is a blessing, don't waist them.

I do! When I was moving in with my Dad when my Mother died, we had a house to sell, and we were getting down to one more month being able to pay the mortgage, and I prayed we would sell it, or I didn't know where the money would come from. About 2 days later, I came home from work, and my daughter said we sold the house. Also when my dad had Altzemers, and was in the last stage where he was unable to eat anymore, and he was so thin, and was just a shell of what he use to be, the home in which he was staying before he died recommended that he would have a feeding tube put in. I objected, and they said they would no longer keep him, and his insurance would not pay for any homes to keep him, and I simply did not have the money, and that night I went home and asked God to PLEASE help me some way, because I knew my Dad was dieing, but I wanted him to be taken care of properly, and did not know what to do since I had a full time job, and no one else to help me. One night later, my Dad had his last major stroke, and God provided all the care he needed until the end came. I know there is a God!!

First of all a mature person does not roll their eyes when they hear something they do not agree with. so unless you are having some kind of seizure, put 'them"eyeballs back right.

Seriously, I do believe with all my heart. I guess I believe because it is a culmination of years of study, worship and experience. It really is an asset in my life.

I know people who question God's existence talk about proof. I guess. to that. I would say, prove love, or sadness, or the wind. These things cannot be seen but they are profoundly real and unexplainable. Can one explain why we meet someone and eventually fall in love, yet maybe work with a co-worker for years, but do not fall in love. Love cannot be explained, nor can it be proven.

Many things are like that. No proof, but real nonetheless.

oh you - stop rolling your eyes :-) laughs

I believe in God. I am not ashamed to say it as most people are nowadays. I also believe that a lot of what's wrong with the world today is the lack of belief in God, or some kind of higher power. Man has gotten so full of himself that he now believes himself to be the Almighty. We all realize at some point in life that there is something bigger than us all, something beyond man. I believe that something is God.

I do, I can't say why, I guess its just faith, but really I think its more then that, I think life in all its complexity and sometimes beauty is one reason I believe and also humanity, the good and the bad. I know life can s*ck a lot at times, I'm going through one of those times now, but I feel its those times that bring us closer to God, not so much God punishing us as God showing us how strong we and he are together. I have many times in my life that I know could of and should of been worse, I feel God has helped me through those times. I have also been without God in my life or have denied God to myself, if that makes any sense, and in that time, a time not that long ago, I felt no peace, its only when I followed my need for God that I began to dig myself out of this big dark whole that I through self denial and denial of God had created, that I felt a sense of...peace. So I guess my main reason for believing in God is my need to believe in God. Hope that doesn't sound too crazy, peace be with you, God bless.

I suppose I could say this:

If any of the super string theory is correct, then there are 10, 11 or 26 dimensions out there and some of them are outside of our senses. Then it should be possible for something to skip -- stay outside of -- the dimension of time. I.e. they are time travelers -- it is like a walk in the park for them, literally.

Also the notion of being outside of this universe is not so impossible. What it really means is that there is yet another layer to the whole scheme of things.

Christians might of course throw a fit about this because it ain't the same as what is in their book.

I have sought through various Holy Books and I have found convincing answers there. If I tell you my experience and my understanding, it would be of no value to any one. Only the Messenger of God for our time can give undeniable proofs. Please humbly seek Him for the benefit of your soul.

"The divine Prophets have revealed and founded religion. They have laid down certain laws and heavenly principles for the guidance of mankind. They have taught and promulgated the knowledge of God, established praiseworthy ethical ideals and inculcated the highest standards of virtues in the human world. Gradually these heavenly teachings and foundations of reality have been beclouded by human interpretations and dogmatic imitations of ancestral beliefs. The essential realities which the Prophets labored so hard to establish in human hearts and minds while undergoing ordeals and suffering tortures of persecution, have now well nigh vanished. Some of these heavenly Messengers have been killed, Some imprisoned; all of Them despised and rejected while proclaiming the reality of divinity. Soon after Their departure from this world, the essential truth of Their teachings was lost sight of and dogmatic imitations adhered to.

Inasmuch as human interpretations and blind imitations differ widely, religious strife and disagreement have arisen among mankind, the light of true religion has been extinguished and the unity of the world of humanity destroyed. The Prophets of God voiced the spirit of unity and agreement. They have been the Founders of divine reality. Therefore if the nations of the world forsake imitations and investigate the reality underlying the revealed Word of God they will agree and become reconciled. For reality is one and not multiple

I believe that the Universe is conscious, in a way beyond our understanding. I usually refer to that consciousness as God when talking to people of monotheistic religions, for ease of conversation.

Of course we believe in God: Here's why...

" I am The Way, The Truth, and The Life; no man can come to the Father except through me". -- Jesus Christ

" I am the resurrection and the life; he that believes in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live ; and whoever lives and believes in me shall never die". - Jesus (Jn. 11:25)

" Neither is there salvation in any other; for there is no other name under heaven given among men whereby we must be saved". (Acts 4:12)am
