There is one bothersome point in the Catholic church I cannot seem to get around nor understand. The position of Pope, if the Bible tells us that there is no way to the father except through Jesus, what is the Pope's purpose? How can a man, born of the same God-borrowed flesh as everyone else, seem to claim a throne between The Father and The Son and it not seem as a great contradiction to any practicing Catholic? And if the Pope's position is not a contradiction, does that mean the seat of the Pope is as open to any able bodied contender like a presidential election of sorts?

Were you raised Catholic? What was it like? I attended Catholic school in Chicago and Los Angeles in the 1960's and 1970's. My family and I went to Mass every Sunday morning and sat in the same pews every time. My house, when we lived with my grandmother, had pictures of Our Lady of Fatima, La Virgen de Gudalupe, various saints, especially St. Anthony de Padua and St. Patrick, and crucifixions.

When we moved to LA, my mom put some of those portraits up, but it was not like my grandma's house. We became good friends with the local priest, like we were with our parish priest in Chicago. I am not as religious as I was when I was a kid, but I've still got a lot of those traditions, and when I look back it was not bad. I actually miss those days hiding behind the rectory playing marbles with my friends and the parish festivals/carnivals where we'd chase each other around.

Think about it! Satan fears a cross, Holy Water, a person of the cloth, a church (interior of one), fire, and daylight (his demons take over during the day), Satan is usually in the ground (dirt of his homeland, Earth)! during the time he's planning his assaults. He can't stand the Son that radiates in the heart of Christians, And, Satan is after blood, your life so to speak!

I mean even mentally challenged 4 year olds can learn that atheism is made up of two words; A (meaning without) and theism (the belief in a supernatural power). So Atheism is the rejection of the incorrect and totally asinine belief in a supernatural being.
Does this clear things up for you? Or do you need someone to read it to you very, very slowly before you understand?

Why do some Christians look down on Harry Potter stories because of the wizardry and good magic and yet in Christian bookstores you see the Chronicles of Narnia everywhere you turn.
Doesn't that story has the same wizardry and magic and make believe as Harry Potter.
What's the difference? What's your position?

THE EARTH IS NOT MOVING
FACTS:

THERE IS NO PROOF THAT THE EARTH ROTATES ON A "AXIS" DAILY AND ORBITS THE SUN ANNUALLY. NONE.
ALL CALCULATIONS FOR ECLIPSES, THE SPACE PROGRAM, NAVIGATION, SATELLITE MOVEMENTS--ANYTHING THAT DEMANDS PRECISION AND ACCURACY--ARE BASED ON A NON-MOVING EARTH. BOILED DOWN, HELIOCENTRIC MATH IS THE SAME AS GEOCENTRIC MATH. MATHEMATICS HAS BEEN INVENTED SPECIFICALLY TO UPHOLD COPERNICANISM. (EINSTEIN CALLED MATH AN "ART FORM" AND SO IT IS!)
NO EXPERIMENT HAS SHOWN THE EARTH TO BE MOVING (MUCH LESS AT 30 TIMES RIFLE BULLET SPEED IN SOLAR ORBIT AND 250 TIMES RBS AROUND A GALAXY!) ONE WOULD THINK SUCH SPEEDS WOULD FLAP ONE’S COLLAR A LITTLE EVEN IF THE "SCIENCE" ESTABLISHMENT SAYS NO....
MULTIPLE EXPERIMENTS HAVE SHOWN THE EARTH TO BE STATIONARY.
REVISIONIST HISTORY REVEALS THE ROLES THAT COPERNICUS, KEPLER, GALILEO, NEWTON, EINSTEIN, SAGAN ET AL HAVE PLAYED IN FOISTING THIS LIE ON MANKIND.
THE LOGIC AGAINST A MOVING EARTH IS OVERPOWERING.
WORLD-CLASS ASTRONOMER SIR FRED HOYLE SAID TAKE YOUR PICK BETWEEN THE TWO MODELS....
COPERNICANISM PAVED THE WAY FOR DARWINISM (WHICH SPAWNED MARXISM, FREUDIANISM, EINSTEINISM, SAGANISM)
STAR SPEEDS ARE NOT A PROBLEM WHEN THE THICKNESS OF THE UNIVERSE IS SEEN TO BE WHAT IT REALLY IS, THAT IS, LESS THAN 1/2 LIGHT DAY THICK. BEGIN HERE...
NASA’S SPACE PROGRAM IS LABELED "ORIGINS RESEARCH" AND COSTS TAXPAYERS MEGA-BUCKS. COMPUTERIZED TELESCOPES ARE PROGRAMMED TO SEND BACK "SYNTHESIZED IMAGES". THE "IMAGE WARPER" PERMITS "GEOMENTRIC TRANSFORMATIONS" WHILE "ORIGINS TECHNOLOGY... CONFIGURES THE MULTIPLE SMALL MIRRORS..." IN THESE TELESCOPES. TALK ABOUT A CON JOB!
THE BIBLE SAYS THE EARTH IS NOT MOVING AND CANNOT BE MOVED. WHAT’L IT BE FOLKS? FALSE SCIENCE AS THE SOURCE OF ABSOLUTE TRUTH...OR GOD’S WORD??

I just asked a practice question. About how I /hate/ catholics and christians, and I got some unloving awnsers from catholics and christians. I suppose those same people are reading this question. Dosen't Jesus teach you to love ALL people, and see beyond their religion, and look into their personality? Do justify yourself.

How dare the Atheists refute Christianity with secular logics?
Why they don't understand that their logic is not applicable
to Christianity? Why the non-christian use anti logics to refute Christianity?Christianity is based on biblical divine logics which are proved 1000 times. Read The Bible. Biblical logics are based on proved axioms and proved hypothesis unlike their seculat logics and anti logics.
It's the way to your salvation and it's the ultimate truth.
Why? It's so simple that a 5 years old child will understood.
Because Bible says so.
Jesus answered, "I am the way and the truth and the life.
No one comes to the Father except through me."
(John 14:6 NIV)

Jesus is in charge of the Strong Nuclear Force that holds protons together within the nucleus of atoms - (Colossians 1:17).

Thus, when the time comes, Jesus is simply going to relax His hold on the elements (of the Periodic Table), and the protons are going to fly apart - (2 Peter 3:10,12).

The earth is stationary.
The Michelson-Morley experiment was the reason for Albert Einstein!!

Beginning in 1887, U.S. scientist Albert Abraham Michelson began to do experiments to try and detect the motion of the earth around the sun by using the speed of light as a barometer. This experiment was called the Michelson-Morley experiment and was famous for one thing: ALL THE RESULTS WERE NEGATIVE.

"To his utter amazement, the experiment produced a zero effect. Michelson could find no drag on the transmission of light in any direction. He detected only the slightest shift in the interference fringes. Both halves of the split single beam of light were returning at virtually the same instant.
The data were almost unbelievable. The so-called ether wind had had no effect whatever on the velocity of light whether the beam was traveling with the "wind" or across it. There was only one other possible conclusion to draw—that the earth was at rest."

It is faith, not proof, that makes Christians believe in Jesus Christ's resurrection, the central tenet of the religion. Until now.

Oxford University professor Richard Swinburne, a leading philosopher of religion, has seemingly done the impossible. Using logic and mathematics, he has created a formula that he says shows a 97 percent certainty that Jesus Christ was resurrected by God the Father, report The Age and Catholic News.

This stunning conclusion was made based on a series of complex calculations grounded in the following logic:

1. The probably of God's existence is one in two. That is, God either exists or doesn't.
2. The probability that God became incarnate, that is embodied in human form, is also one in two.
3. The evidence for God's existence is an argument for the resurrection.
4. The chance of Christ's resurrection not being reported by the gospels has a probability of one in 10.
5. Considering all these factors together, there is a one in 1,000 chance that the resurrection is not true.
