Dear sweet senile Cobb, please don't start a petition for that one. Free wine is the reason some people go to church. Cheese and crackers would be a nice touch, though. Bless your gentle antiquated soul.

Ummm the point of communion is related to the bread and wine Jesus gave the disciples. Wine representing Jesus's blood, broken bread representing Jesus's broken body. These symbols are sacred. Besides, I don't think ovaltine and cheese crackers were available back then.

Mmmmmm..... Ovaltine.

Haven't had that for a long time.

But for communion, I think I'll stick with wine.

The church uses wine and bread wavers because of the Eucharistic miracle, which is different depending on your version of catholicism.

Catholics believe that the wine acutally becomes the blood of Christ, it just retains the appearance of wine.
Protestants believe that the wine becomes symbolic of Christ's blood.

Nah, use Colt 45 or a cheap malt liqour. For crackers,...I'd use Sprees or sweet tarts.

So, a priest, a rapist, and a pedophile walk into a bar...And that was just the first guy..
