Necessary to people who find comfort in routine and rituals. It also gives something to people who are bereaved and had something terrible happen to them, that they have something constant to depend on. But not necessary to everyone though.

Organized religion is necessary to the organizers (it's a power and wealth thing).
Eating meat is just plain good.

Not just no, but HELL NO !!! Organized religion is all about money, money, and more money. If Jesus Christ came back today, he'd be shocked at what has become Jesus worship since he said not to worship him, but his father. Remember, Christ was Jewish, so that makes Judaism the only true religion if you follow the teachings of Jesus Christ. He would probably equate today's organized religion with the money changers he got angry with and threw out of the temple. Organized religion is little more than a joke and is just a way of separating you from your money.

Absolutely not. I've lived my entire wonderful, happy, successful life not only without ORGANIZED religion, but without any religion at all.
Organized religion exists as a huge money making machine which uses mind control and fear to keep the masses under control.

No it isn't necessary, But as humans one of our wants and needs is to commune with people that share the same beliefs as we do.

Yes God says we should assemble ourselves together
Also ministers do counselling, funerals, and weddings
Sunday school is really good for kids

if you understand it.....yes. if you fall for the myth that is just used as a crutch or to control people...then probabaly not
