Can't we all just face the facts that religion has served its purpose and now its time to move on? Is there any coincidence between the fact that medieval european priests holstered their bibles to their belts like sheriffs in the wild west? I for one don't think so. I think they were keeping a savage uneducated people in check by threatening them with eternal damnation in hell if they didn't do as they were told by the book. Since they couldn't read the book it worked. The Lutheran revolution and the translation of the bible was the beginning of the end. Is there also any coincidence that since the foundation of public education religion has more and more been shoved aside? What do you think?

If he comes back for a 2nd time? You're gonna get all upset probably because Jesus isn't paying any attention to you and is spending his time with those with a lot more sin than you.

I have experienced this several times in my life. I'm in a room, totally alone, avoid of any major shifts of air pressure (windows and doors closed) yet I have felt the sensation of air whisping past my ears as if someone has walked by. I understand that you can feel people's locations, relative to your own, because of the nerves in your ear. It's like a sensor. But does this sensor play tricks on me at times? When it happens I look around like "who's there?"

I do believe in supernatural beings like angels and spirits (not ghosts) but I don't accept that you can feel them naturally unless they manifest themselves in the flesh like in an emergency. So what the heck is that?

Do you make a list of all the things you find "wrong" or "evil" about them?

Or,

Do you make a list of all the "right" or "good" things about them?

Or, do you just take them as they are "good" and "evil", but pay attention to what they came to teach you about life?

Since it is mentioned in Revelation and other texts regarding the pending war between God and the political system of this world, do some of you still back the governments political wars. Since God will destroy human governments and replace it with his own, do you think you should vote in a person that backs things that are in direct violation of the Gods and Jesus' commandments? Such as; wars and greed. Or perhaps backing a government that God does not approve of.

Your thoughts on this...

Okay, time for some creativity. If you believe in an afterlife, use your imagination and tell us what you picture it being like. If you do not believe in an afterlife, use your creativity and describe what your idea of the perfect afterlife would be, if one were to exist.

Those who have faith are rewarded, but those who make a show because they are afraid to deal with life in a full way are cheating themselves, as those who spead some words about great personalities without undestanding their true significance, and the true significance of their words, we can undestrand that in those people who critisize others for not worshiping the OMNIPRESENT LORD by the same method that they do are surely steeped in fear, which has it's roots in desires independent of the LORD, so, how will we, those free thinkers, who are wise beyond our years correct such people who are our brothers and sisters?

If with these words I have offended, think but this and all is mended...puck...a midnuight summers dream...shakespere

I particularly get a kick out of the ones who think what they say should have a powerful effect on us and are amazed when we don't agree with them.

Are we being taught tricks at church? What's with all the standing and sitting and kneeling? Do you think God cares if you are on your knees, or sitting or standing as long as whatever you are saying or thinking is heartfelt and meaningful?

Please do not answer with, “Because it was inspired by God”. Do you have proof of that? How do you know that these men were divinely inspired by God to write the Bible? Who told you that, besides the men that wrote it, and the people that have believed in it?

Is the truth really in the bible or is it really in your faith?

BTW by telling me I’m going to hell, I’m going to burn, and calling me an atheist (which I’m not! I believe in a God but not the bible), is not bring me closer to your so-called heaven now is it? I thought Christians are suppose to enlighten us “heathens” and show us the path through righteousness, not through your hate. So show me the path…….
