In those times Islam was quite marginalized the writers of the Quran in his name and actions made sure that the Quran in his name and actions has the proper decorum in dealing with none believers as a religion whether Christian, Islam, Buddhists, Shiek, Judaism all ex.. it expresses love, tolerance to all that is more important than small issues. as humans we are here to spread love and unity to all men/women of all religion and race. respect and tolerance is more important as human beings we are not animals. The Quran wasn't written down for another two generations after Mohammed died, at which point there were debates about which surras to put into it. That means that there was some kind of corruption, as oral traditions usually end up having. Mohammed being a prophet or not is a moot point when you can't even be sure what he said for 100%

All the religions run the same gauntlet that you see in these answers - including Muslim. The one writing the book shows his attitude at the time. So when the bible gives the laws and the punishment (death) and tells me it is my duty to kill my own children for straying - should I be dealing more kindly to with infidels?
How about the quran? Kill what Muslims consider to be infidels and you and those you choose go on after death to have all the things you never enjoyed on earth. How about them virgins boy? To modernize these claims for the afterlife - will you get a BMW or what to drive to the brothel to collect your prize?

Buddhist wisdom is beyond your comprehension...

"Entangled by the bonds of hate, he who seeks his own happiness by inflicting pain on others, is never delivered from hatred"

"Overcome the angry by non-anger; overcome the wicked by goodness; overcome the miser by generosity; overcome the liar by truth"

"Like a beautiful flower that is colorful but has no fragrance, even well spoken words bear no fruit in one who does not put them into practice"

"It is better to conquer yourself than to win a thousand battles. Then the victory is yours. It cannot be taken from you, not by angels or by demons, heaven or hell"

"In a controversy the instant we feel anger we have already ceased striving for the truth, and have begun striving for ourselves"

As a Muslim I will answer that the Qu'ran addresses other faiths of the "book" (bible) to be respected. Christians believe in God (although also believe Jesus is God or God's partner) but Muslims should respect them. Jews also believe in God but don't accept Jesus at all, but should also be respected. This is not a negative thing as portrayed in your question, rather instruction of harmony to other faiths that believe in God. If you are realistic, the Muslim faith is in the middle of both the Christian and Jewish faith.

As a Hindu i also recognise Islamic way of worship because Hindus believe God is one and ways to reach him are many. I would understand that this behaviour of that muslim is an indication of low spiritual level of that soul, therefore i would tolerate them as we tolerate kids who are in lower level of educational standards. With his good karmas and faith in God, One day (maybe in next births) he will also rise spiritually.

I have no problem with Islam. I am a Witch, and would never assume to preach to others that they should be the same. To each their own.

fanatic, you will get what's coming to you. Oh and by the way, if there really are virgins waiting for you on the other side, what are you going to do with them? When you're dead, you're not in your physical body, so you can't really have sex. That means all of you murderous muslim fanatics die for nothing. How stupid is that?
