The question as stated is "what is the downfall for those who WANT to follow a Christian path". I guess the flip answer would be that the downfall is that they want to, but they don't do it. Therefore, they do not achieve the results they want. However, reflecting upon this may reveal more truth than some are comfortable with. Perhaps they are misled as to what the Christian path really is by self-appointed spokespersons for the alleged word of God. Perhaps they have some flaw in their personality that prevents them from doing what they know to be right, such as lust, pride, gluttony, . . . gee, this is starting to sound familiar. The most common downfall I have noticed is the tendency for devotees to become narrow-minded and suffused with an overweening sense of superiority that prevents them from experiencing Agape love. They may profess that they love their neighbors, but when it comes right down to it, they don't want to help those with addictions, diseases, discouragements and/or insurmountable economic barriers. To "become like Christ" is the part that eludes them. Like the rest of us, those who want to follow the Christian path are still subject to the host of ills we humans are heir to, and many succumb.
The second part of the question, "how will we correct such people who are our brothers and sisters?" is simple to say and hard to do. It is by our example that we will correct them. Do not preach to them, for they are proof that preaching does not work. Show them concern and love, understand that they have fears and fragile egos, and do your best to allay the fears and emphasize the divinity in everyone and in the world. If you constantly remind them of, and help them see, the glory of the Maker in the world around them, their fears must evaporate and they will be able to reach their goal of becoming more like the Avatar of God they worship.

My brother, there are no downfalls to christianity. It is Christ who supplies love and understanding when we ask for it. When we fail - who do we call out for? When we lose or if there is loss - who do we turn to? Instinctively, we turn to the one who saves us - even though we do not realize that we need saving. The only reward is Salvation - not earthly gain. God give us the desires of our heart when we are in His will - He gives us grace, peace, hope and love. I find that to be only three of the rewards. But the kicker is - I didn't do anything to earn it. He gives it freely. He does not condemn, but revives. If there is peace in believing in a merciful God, then there is no reason to believe that we are cheated. The true significance is that God is real and it is evident in the world that He has created. So, God bless you my brothers and sisters. May you know that God is there for you in all times of your life - joy and sorrow.

Any faith has a downfall if it is abused for personal or political gain. I don't think anyone should be classified or judged simply on their religious or spiritual beliefs. Anybody with a free will should be able to choose who or what they think a supreme being is, anybody who criticizes anyone for their beliefs should be drawn and quartered and left in the streets to be eaten by wild dogs.
Judge not, lest ye be judged yourself.

u want for instance why u imagine devil is genuine non-denom individuals like the idea of simplicity and fundamentals. they imagine that in case you strip away each and each and every of the failings you receives to God. i imagine they oversimplify, yet that's faraway from the delusion of being managed by technique of the grate D-C-ver. over the years, some fairly large thinkers have wrestled in writing with the numerous age-previous heavy questions. We call the loose number of those writings "the Church Fathers." The non-denoms lower price this series as unimportant. Like any such large kind of people, they get an really solid theory and then bypass extreme with it. i respect the way individuals with no longer some thing to assert in basic terms keep repeating the drained cliches, which contain "God does no longer exist" -- an eye-catching hypothesis for which there is no information in besides, apart from the truth that the author of the idea would like it to be real. Wishing God now to not exist would not make God non-existent. and also, the man who tells us to get off our extreme horse, yet has no longer some thing actually to assert in choose of in spite of his position will be. that's no longer even plausible to infer what he thinks from the poverty of writing he provides us.

"so, how will we, those free thinkers, who are wise beyond our years correct such people who are our brothers and sisters?"
There is not much hope for them... its pointless trying. Eventually christianity and islam etc will fizzle out like the Egyptians rituals did... we dont worship cats and bury our dead in pyramids anymore :-)
Good riddance to religion

The words did not offend me, and in fact, are rather enlightening. Regardless of the path, it is the doing that counts..kindness, love, caring, and sharing. ... it makes no difference what you believe, what faith, God or not, if you live a caring life, the life is its reward, isn't it?

those who follow a Christian path are usually ostracized by the majority for their beliefs... or bashed for them... or they're written off as weak and willing to believe "anything"... just check out some of the q's and a's in this category... you'll see it's true.
