the idea of it. Some people say that it has no beginning and no end. Some say eternity is no time at all. It boggles my mind. I think of it when i think of the afterlife with God. Do we have memories when we are with God. If we do then there is time after all because when we think of past memories there will be a concept of time " past, present". If we have memories at this state of being then eternity seems a long unending time. Its feels you are trapped in existence "like in a complex fish bowl, everything is repetition throughout eternity. Weren't they the only people on earth??...Besides their parents, of course...The bible says that 4/16 "And Cain went out from the presence of the lord and dwelt in the land of nod, to the east of eden." then verse 17 says that "Cain Knew his wife and she conceived and bore Henoch"....
Where did he find this wife??

I felt like running out of there, but opted to stay because it would have been rude. I was literally shaking and felt sick. My husband liked some of the things about it. I felt it was almost cult like and people were too pushy. I already believe in God, I am saved yet they were pushing baptisim again.

The gift of tongues was given expressly for the purpose of preaching to unbelieving Jews and was a means of presenting the Gospel to them in the language of the unbelieving Jew without the speaker ever having learned the language. The Bible is clear on this subject that at any one meeting there was to be not more than 3 people speak in tongues and then it was to be one at a time and was only to be used when there was an unbelieving Jew present. Many of these so called modern tongues speakers will tell you that speaking in tongues is a sign that you are spitit filled but not according to the Bible for it states that "tongues are a sign, not to them that believe but to them that believe not" The "them" being unbelieving Jews. Just what on earth goes on in some Churches today?? In some meetings several hundred people all stand up all at the one time and babble in some ecstatic jibberish which is unknown to be any language on earth and where are the unbelieving Jews???

how was God created since God--being more complex than humans-- would be required to have a creator, by your own criterion? Answers in the vain of "God always existed, even before time or the natural forces which He created," are not acceptable because such answers deny the fundamental logic which requires a creator for all complex things.

Lately i have been questioning my beliefs spiritually. i have come the conclusion that i am probably deist, but i am interested in knowing more about other religions and what people stand for. Or at least i was. But once i started asking & answering questions, both on here & to my friends, all i seem to hit is anger, hatred & disdain for anyone who doesn't believe exactly as the person(s) i am talking to at the time. The more i talk to religious people the more i think that i am just fine being the way i am & i shouldn't seek out further information. BUT i have always been one to want to research & make sure i am making an informed decision. So i am SERIOUSLY asking someone to give me a good reason to keep researching & seeking info about religions OR a good reason not to & just be content believing as I do. i'm not looking for bible quotes or "because God says so" answers. i am looking for serious REAL reasons that make me feel like religion is NOT all about (more below)

If god is perfect, and all love comes from god because god is love, then why did he create us?Why would a complete, eternally blessed, self-sufficient, being want to make something imperfect that it doesn't need? Is it because god, being love, desires to give? or is it because god is imperfect? or is god really e being, or something else?
