Are you comparing our death to Christs? Wow, thats pathetic. What I mean is that nothing is as bad as what Jesus went through. He lived a perfect life then suffered on the cross. Every sin that has ever been committed, every single sin by mankind forced upon Him; Yet He beared it all, He bared it so that we could be forgiven; He suffered for our sins; You are really comparing our death to His?

Jesus died for our sins. We are forgiven when we ask Him to forgive us. Our treasures in Heaven have to do with the good we did on earth. It has nothing to do with our sins or with the dying process. You might say that one of my crosses to bear is chronic pain. The way I handle my life daily and the witness I give is my life testament just like Jesus' testament was His death for our sins.If I give in and drug myself all the time and never reach out to help others or give God praise then my treasures in Heaven will be very small. If I witness to others by being positive and giving God the glory for my pain and every day that I am allowed to live and share His word, then my treasures will be greater. I pray to be a better Christian witness and to help others every time I hear of a need. Not just for the treasures but for the purpose and reason Of being Christian and doing as God wants us to be. Best wishes and I hope this helps.

The first thing that someone should be considering is whether the idea of sin is actually real.
If God is supposed to be perfect how could She have made anything or anyone that wasn't perfect.
Think about it. The idea of sin assumes certain things about God that seem highly unlikely.
First it assumes a God who is too incompetent to organize a simple educational field excursion and figure out a way to get all of the students home safely.
How likely is this that God would not be smart enough to come up with a plan for our salvation that is going to work?
It also assumes that God must have created us imperfect if we are sinners.
One might assume that God would be able to create someone perfect each and every time if he chose to. Assuming God is capable of this, then it follows logically that we must be perfect creations if we are actually creations of this perfect God.
Unless of course you are saying that God chose to create us imperfect.
If God created us imperfect then anything that may go wrong is Gods fault, not ours. This seems a bit illogical at best so I think that we need to assume that What God creates would have to be perfect.
If this is the case and Gods creations are perfect, then nothing that we can do could change what God created perfect and make it imperfect unless we think that we are more powerful than God is.
How likely is it that we the creation could be more powerful than the creator. I personally find this idea somewhat amusing, and a bit absurd.
Religion tells us that God is perfect. If this is true then it could hardly be logically for Gods creations to be considered to be anything less than perfect.
If this is the case then Nothing that we can ever do could possibly change this perfection that God willed, unless we were so powerful that our choices could override and change the will of God.
How likely is that????
Think about it.
The idea of sin is simple nonsense; a lie made up about God by religion.

Jesus died so that we could be forgiven of our sins. There was no forgiveness of God before his time. Ask Mosses, how long did he wonder in the desert while the rest of his people were allowed into the promised land? It is not the dying that counts, but the life we lead while living that counts. Also, it is the way we feel when we mess up. If you feel no sorrow or regret upon committing a discretion then you are not worthy of God's grace.

God allows us to suffer in this life because He is using all our experiences to refine us. If you've ever been through very hard times, I'm sure you'd think, when you got the other "side" of it, truly these were the most important lessons in life you've learned. My worst times shaped and molded me....just like fire that purifies gold, God uses hardships to refine us into the image of His son.
Physical death will happen to us all, it's merely part of being human. But those who trust in Jesus will live with Him forevermore where none of that will happen, ever again.
Our "treasures in heaven" are the things we do in this life, for the kingdom of God.

"The crosses we bear in life"? Our problems are caused by sin. They don't build treasure in heaven. The only way to heaven is through faith in Christ.

Are you so arrogant to believe that your death matters any more than the death of a piss ant? Thusly, you have inherited a really sick set of superstitions. Read more anthropology of religion.

Our own physical pain and suffering and death are indeed meaningless as far as working out our sins or Karma.
JESUS DID IT ALL.
