i was watching dr. fredrick price this am. i always enjoy and respect his teaching. he stated that the lords prayer is not a christian prayer, then ran out of time before he had a chance to explain. it really got my wheels turning. my best guess is that jesus taught the prayer for the old convenant. the kingdom that we ask for in the prayer, christian faith says is already here. it became after the death of jesus and the new covenant. could you please give insight or your thoughts on this explanation.

"They exchanged the truth of God for a lie, and worshiped and served created things (i.e., "the creation") rather than the Creator, who is forever praised. Amen."--Romans 1:25 (N.I.V.)
"Always learning but never able to acknowledge the truth."--2 Timothy 3:7, (N.I.V.) Crucial to the scientific method is an open mind. Closed minds lead to closed hearts, which condition in turn invites spiritual pride. Individuals who are predisposed to this condition usually end up constructing for themselves a god of their own intellect and reason. In effect, they construct a god of their own likeness or image.
"O Timothy, keep that which is committed to thy trust, avoiding profance and vain babblings, and oppositions of science falsely so called."--1 Timothy 6:20 (K.J.V.)

And would Jesus dance a jig to it? Do angels have a mosh pit you think to glorify God like the Christian Rock bands do here on Earth?

The bible dictates their opinions and lifestyles, and gives them bullshit to spew in case of an argument. They're too inferior to think for themselves, so they depend on Christianity.

that people at least try to respect other's beliefs?

Christians: If you try to convert someone to your religion and they tell you they're not interested, you should accept that and stop bothering them.

Atheists: Try not to bash others just for believing in a deity or deities.

Everyone else: Take the advice I give to Christians and Atheists.

Just because someone believes differently than you do, it doesn't give you the right to bash their beliefs. Nobody believes the exact same thing as anyone else- there's always going to be a difference.

I'm sorry if anyone found this offensive.

Start reading at the part of the page where it says "Prophecy is the PROOF of God" in bold. You'll have to scroll down a bit. The paragraph after is where it starts talking about Tyre. If your intererested you can continue after the page is done talking about Tyre. It talks about other cities in prophecy.

If religion is about visions .. shouldn't we collectively be visualising this and politically and spiritually demanding it .. We have the engineering minds ... We have MIT graduates every year .. but they go to work for lockheed to build a new unmanned vehicle(predator drone) to deliver destructive weapons systems .. "tactical to practical" has become the mantra of the trickle down of research to the public sector's eventual benefits .. But why not "practical" first .. Oil moguls have much at stake .. so much for them to gain by the petroleum tap slowly going dry .. and the profitable shortages and wars ...
The technology is discovered! .. No dirty greenhouse byproducts in burning pure hydrogen from hydrogencell technology .. but terrestially gleaning it from natural gas is a big greenhouse emitter (sorry you who misassume it can be derived from ocean water-you are mistaken)..
So where is abundant pure hydrogen to be had? .. In space all around us ... Just need a strong space

I've seen that movie,"The Exercism of Emily Rose" and that was scary. I looked up information on the internet. It actually happened. There's been documentation every where about this kind of thing. Doesn't that scare you?? Does anyone know of the last person known to be possessed by the devil that has been documented? Why do you think this happens?

He said ALL the Nazis were possessed. Pope Pius XII back then attempted a "long distance" exorcism which failed. This priest has carried out 30,000 exorcisms in his career. Its like saying, anyone who committed a crime was possessed (the devil made me do it attitude). Do you believe in exorcism? Does it really work in modern day life. Was Hitler & Stalin possessed or just mad mass murderers?

My pastor has invited me to get involved with the preschoolers once a month for their Sunday school calss. I've also been invited to sub on days the teacher isn't there. I am surprised they would ask me of all people to do this. Do you think God is somehow saying he is pleased with me? I don't know, I just would have never thought that they would think of me to do this in their church. I am honored. I was just thinking that this might be God saying he is pleased with me. What do you think?

The ideas put forward in The Da Vinci Code are actually backed up by quite a lot of religious scholarship and historical fact. How many of you have allowed your world view to shift a bit to include these new (old) ideas?

Because I would really like to see the site. One with independent research.
Now when they tell me they know more intelligent atheists then theists what I think of is people who are self-glorified. They consider themselves intelligent but it has no real basis. Because most atheists reasoning I have heard is flawed and think that alot of theists are stupid, superstitous people. You'll find no more than in the general poplulation.
